Does this mean Usyk won't get his step aside money? He shouldn't either. A undisputed should always trump a mandatory. We know that the titles will fragment soon after and who is the real champion any way ....don't we?.....it's a mess!

Finally unifications have become more important than mandotaries in their eyes

World Boxing Organization who is no longer calling for a mandatory title defense, sources with intimate knowledge of the development have informed BoxingScene.com.
This is absolutely awful news. The WBO is screwing the former undisputed 'Cruiserweight' champion of the world. I thought that they treated their own champions moving up in weight better than this!

If Oleksandr decided to take step-aside money, I would be disappointed in Usky. So now the HW division is at a complete stand-still, the WBO knows that Joshua and Fury have a rematch clause -- what the hell are they thinking promising the 'Interim' a shot?!

There is a law-suit coming from Deontay Wilder and even more rematch clauses with another mandatory. Thanks a lot WBO, just when I was about to commend them for not participating in handing-out secondary titles, they become corrupt by money, like the WBA and WBC.

Absolutely awful that the WBO aren't standing in the way of the first undisputed fight in 20 years?!

This is not for the 'undisputed' HW champonship of the world, the jokes on the public : when Oleksandr Usyk captures the 'Interim' WBO title, he has a valid claim to the thrown and more importantly a portion of the crown. Sorry boys, history will not recognize this as a 'undisputed' fight.

But hey, I know that SKY and ESPN will tell you otherwise, like they been telling you that Teofimo Lopez is 'undisputed' HA!

                  Calling it now:

Fury/Joshua to end in a controversial DRAW, thus forcing Joshua/Usyk anyway (180 day limit).

What else do you want? There are 6 'titles' on the line here. Next you'll be saying that Manuel Charr has a portion of it too???

My sources tell me that Mauricio Sualiman is throwing in another belt for Joshua vs. Fury, I'm being told that this fight will also be for a WBC 'Franchise' championship.

So that's makes 7 world-titles. But the good-news is that Deontay will end up fighting for the WBC world-heavyweight titles, which only complicates matters even more.
