I can do the same too and appear like Mike Tyson vs a drunk inmate.

Officers aren’t necessarily trained to “punch” (closed fist strikes). It’s all about grappling. Fights, at some point, will almost always have grappling in it. You want to have grappling skills for this. And I prefer boxing over grappling all day. But this is just statistically how it is. You also don’t want to come across someone who is on K2, tuned out, or is on some other drug that gives you r-tard strength and you find out that your one punch KO power is no good against them. If you don’t know about these drugs, i’ll let you in on an example...you can be shot and still be up with adrenaline. For this, you need to have superior grappling abilities.

As far as if you have years of boxing under your belt, you can KO who ever you want. That is also not true. It depends on your opponents size, skills and toughness. I hope you don’t think that Mayweather can actually beat The Big Show in a street fight because he can box. One bear hug from Big Show and Mayweather would be crushed.

What are you going to do when your opponent can take a punch, is bigger, stronger than you and decides to wrestle you? How are you going to punch? You can post 1,000 world star hip hop videos of one punch KO’s here, it will not change that statistically fights end up on the floor more often than not. And if you’re curious I boxed since 12 years old. I don’t underestimate anyone just because I can box.
What martial art do they train prison guards in? BJJ?

Love McGirt, he properly knew boxing, old school. I don't know why he chose to unload on Shakur but the right response is not a tweet, the right response is to show him he's wrong by winning stuff.

FannonOG's comment was disgusting & he should be banned from the site. Where are you going if every time one black boxing professional criticises another he gets called 'a Tom'?

Buddy's response with "the truth hurts" was the perfect mic drop

Perhaps he's trying to say - make sure you step up your competition now or keep going like you're going and Teo will knock you out.

But yes, every fight seems to be a showcase for Stevenson so far...I can't remember a single opponent

Stevenson is a sound fighter....But that's it. He reminds me of a combo between Floyd Mayweather and Devon Alexander. We know how good Mayweather is....but then we know that Devon Alexander did not go very far at the elite level. I will say this. Stevenson does have a high boxing IQ.

Well they are like two divisions apart. I know Shakur just moved to 130 but Lopez is on his way out of 135.

Wow that's a pretty good comparison he does remind me of a Devon Alexander very tentative to let their hands go but do have boxing skills and both southpaws.

I'm not hating on Shakur the kid is talented and he can probably outbox anyone from 126-135 on his best night based off skills but haven't seen him in a dog fight yet because he hasn't fought that type of opposition Joet Gonzalez laid an egg his best win is Diaz and I'll give him that but Diaz is more heart than skills. I did see him handling Devin Haney in sparring and he is a big guy for the weight who is still young so maybe in time he will develop a more fan friendly style but as of now I agree with what Buddy said about him not fighting anyone of note. I don't think him and Lopez will ever fight though by the time Shakur is 135 Lopez will be 140 and so forth.

Stevenson is a feather fisted who will do amateur styleboxing and will look good to judges. He is boring figher and not good for boxing...
