Seriously i dont get it. Why is he praised and hyped up so much? Look at guys like golovkin and Thurman. The notion of the thread is plausible. He had a competitive fight with Brook, post-Golovkin. He beat a Lamont Peterson and Chris Algieri, who have collectively accomplished what at 147? He had a close one with Shawn Porter, who was coming off of, in my eyes, a clear defeat to Ugas. Danny Garcia was a good comeback opponent after his car accident. I can't fault him for that fight.

The welterweight division in general is a little over-hyped. I think the fact that Pacquiao is still around and competitive makes it a little bit more of a money division than it really should be.

Hes a good fighter but I think a lot of his success is due to the size advantage he has at 147. I think he gets exposed at the higher weights.

I don’t think Spence is as popular as you’re making it out. The matchup between him and Crawford definitely is, but that’s all. PBC are quickly running out of recycled match ups, like Top Rank did a decade or so ago
