You guys forget that Arum is 88 years old and hasn't handled the business end nor the matching etc for years already . This outlet gave out the news years ago, with an Arum interview, already that Arum had handled over the day- to-day business end to his stepson LeBoeuf.

He enjoys making the announcements and being still in the limelight, but doesn't run the business any more. His own choice.

I was curious how old Arum was and looked it up yesterday. He turned 89 in December.

Welter is one of the divisions that has no clear Champ right now. If I'm pushed I'd say Crawford is the best. He's better than these guys.

I'd never want the Pacman killed by Bud, so Pac shouldn't even think about that. It's on the other guys to make the offers if they want the best guy in the division.

        War Bud!

I guess if you decide to remain the face and mouthpiece of an org that you will also get the flack.

Crawford might be the best. But more people think Spence is. So no one gets to sit back on making fights based on a fan's opinion. This is Boxing ... prove it in the ring (that includes compromising and making the fights happen).

Fair enough. That's why I said it's a disputed division.

THAT'S exactly true. Good point. He does, but being a hardened lawyer, as well as taking it for the last 50 years, I suppose he sheds it like water off a duck's back. Just now and then he gets a bit feisty, either from the nonsense, or maybe smoking marijuana, which he says he does regularly. He's dealing with cunning idiots most of the time, so knows what to expect. I think he plays chess whilst they play checkers. I read all about him years ago. Still as sharp as a needle.

He was the #1 in his Harvard graduate year, Summa cum Laude, and after some private practice went into Robert Kennedy's Government Tax department as a Department Head. So he's seen it all...from both sides.

I think he'd stop Porter. Bud & Thurman is a great match up & clash of styles. I'd pick Bud to win a close fight.

He's not doing fights like Shakur vs whatever bum of the month he's fighting but he's still involved with the big fights and has the final say.

If a Spence fight ever happens, I got Bud.
