Hearns is bluffing. AJ nor Fury would dare drop their belts for this fight to happen. Why would AJ so easily drop belts (with the exception of the WBA which was gifted to him via petition from Wlad to sanction his fight with AJ) that he's worked hard for? Sure, AJ would continue to rake it in hand over fist fighting Top Contenders.

Maybe Paco will change his mind if lets say he wakes up and finds himself in bed with a severed horse head with the WBO title around its neck GodFather style..Lol. And maybe Usyk will also stand down if they sent him a picture of the horse hear next to Paco...Lol

If I were turning pro I'd probably go with Hearn who would match me with the least risk. Making me and more importantly himself the best return from the game. The Hearn family boxing blueprint hasn't changed from when the old man who made a star out of Eubank Sr. having him defend against the likes of Tony Thornton the late 'punching postmen' and some. Eubank fought Joe, Benn and Watson agreed but was swerved around the likes of James Toney and Mike McCallum who both wanted some and were the most dangerous foes out there to fight at that time .....not a peep out of Sr. or Barry (watch the Johnathon Ross show when Benn and Sr. had a live link up to the Wild card gym & Toney...you could smell the fear !)The Hearns don't take risks they are accountants .For me the only reason Edward is keen on this two fight deal is (why?) two paydays ! The Fury fight is there as Joshua was knocked out by Ruiz and could go pop any time (as could any ) but the time has come .So we really have Ruiz to thank for it. Remember Barry Hearn saying prior to Ruiz 1 'If Joshua doesn't fight Wilder for the next ten years but keeps on wining then I'd take that'...at a time when the boxing world was clamouring for that fight.....just facts and I'm sure the causals on here(you know who you are) who make little sense will find it hard to understand they are being mugged most of the time. Promoters throughout time aren't there because of their honesty but it astounds me that some can't see beyond their words.
          Sorry for the book!

Even with no belts on the line this fight would be the most interesting since fury vs wilder, so where is the issue?

Hearn is good at promoting fights, has done well with AJ. But he's made a lot of promises to other fighters that were just hot air. Probably told Usyk he had to sign with him to get an AJ shot. Now he's denied him that shot, he also is trying to make sure Usyk doesn't get a vacant title fight with somebody else, and he's pushing Usyk not to ask for too much money in a step aside deal.

                  What are you on

Go pull up Joshua's boxrec and compare that with anyone else, He's been matched far harder than Fury (whose record is not that bad), Dubois or Wilder what are you talking about?
So currently I think we're agreed Hearn matches them harder or list the first 20 fights of any current heavyweight and we'll discuss here.

If you want to do the super middle weights back in Warrens day we're going to have to discuss Calzaghe and his stay-at-home rep he got from Warren doing some soft matching. It was only when Joe escaped Warren he got the fights he wanted.

All of this is fake news .

So he’s just supposed to hand over any amount Usyk asks for because this is how boxing works ? Ha

Usyk didn’t have to sign with Hearn he was already his mandatory as well .

Its cool, it was a good post. I don't really know a great deal about Sr (bit before my time) so I learnt something.

Yeah, I remember Barry saying that, I think it was just after he said that Eddie was dealing with all of Matchroom boxing events and that he was now just a 'fan'.

The whole Wilder saga hasn't really got anything to do with the actual fighters, IMHO. They probably did want the fight. Eddie and Shelly were just being promoters and smelt big money. Thats the name of the game though.

Honour, courage and pride aren't tangible and can be tempered with a 7 figure payday.
