They are all still very young so I'll give them a pass but hopefully Tank, Ryan, Teo and Devin do not let their legacy fights pass them by like Spence and Crawford seem intent on doing at the moment.

Insanity.
Teofimo beats the man of the division.
Then goes on and in a way, tarnishes, his own career with bulls.hit nonsense.
First refusing a rematch with Lomachenko. Which would only improve Teo's stock if he won again.
Now he's demanding impossible money for Haney?
My goodness. Teofimo ruined his own wave.

Floyd’s PPV numbers with PAC and Connor were over 4 million and both fights were $99 tag. That’s over $400 million not counting gate revenue and site fee.
Those numerical figures explain and justify why Floyd made more than $250 M in each fight.
Teo has not been on PPV. He’s just starting out by beating Loma in a fight he made less than $2 M.
Can you walk us through a mathematical proposition that justifies a $7 million paycheck let alone $10 million?
If you have a hypothetical PPV projection to go with it, that might help. You don’t, because Teo has never been on PPV.
When Floyd destroyed Gatti in his first PPV outing, the fight did less than 500k PPV and it was because of Gatti. Even Floyd acknowledged that.
When he moved up in weight to fight Baldomir, he didn’t get $10 Mil and his PPV with Zab was less than 500k so the question is, can you objectively explain how Teo can generate huge PPV numbers to warrant a $10 M paycheck?
It’s simple math bro. At this point, Teo doesn’t even make $5 million. Unless he’s fighting Garcia then it seems plausible (Mexican fans, two young undefeated starlets, a boxing fan base that actually wants that fight etc).
Fighting Haney, while good for bragging rights and enhancing his resume, does not come with a hefty price tag you are trying to justify.
Danny Jacobs was GUARENTEED a minimum of $2.5 mil per fight, but made much more than that. Tarver made close to $3mil per fight. Are either of them as popular as Teo? Have any of them ever beaten the p4p #1? What about undisputed? Again, I'm not saying he's worth the $10mil, but close to it based on his accomplishments and popularity.

What has happened to American Boxing fans?
If it's so bad in American boxing, then it's worldwide. We don't give a **** about belts. Most of us at least. I know belts are everything to Euros.

That’s a good point about DAZN. I had forgotten about them and the model.
As for Tarver, are you sure it’s Tarver? That guy has been irrelevant in over a decade.

Hearn can try Loma. I'm sure Arum is open to that. Give Loma 3 mil and he'll do it. I'm sure Loma's minimum will change drastically. Some contracts the minimum only stands as long as you are winning. To Arum, Loma is worth about a mil now. Hearn can make it. Very high risk for Haney.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 01-12-2021, 01:08 AM.
