Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua Won't Be Held For Ransom By Usyk; We Could Vacate All The Belts

Do what’s best for boxing and get the elite to fight -with or without a belt. This is a great opportunity to render belts and sanctioning bodies meaningless at the top level of the sport.

This is off-topic but I can scarcely find a thread about any meaningful upcoming LHW fights. Most of the divisions top fighters, for example Beterbiev, hasn't fought since Gvozdyk back in 2019, Bivol hasn't fought since 2019 and that was a tune - up - the only guy who really seems to stay busy is slightly over the hill Kovalev, who still fights 2-3 times a year.
So what the hell is going on? The division is starting to resemble the Welterweight's but for different reasons. As I understand it, there aren't the same promotional stand-offs at 175 as there are at 147, but the Welters still manage to put on more fights.
These guys ought to be fighting at least once a year, even with the COVID crisis, and it's been an issue for years.
There are a couple of exceptions and my motivation is frustration at a division with great depth - perhaps the most well-rounded of all the weight classes.
Maybe someone can explain to me why this is so?

Who is elite at heavyweight who you think would defeat Usyk .Last edited by REDEEMER; 01-12-2021, 10:40 AM.

Remember Fury and wilder fans are not much different now , got to give them a life preserver. If you drown them there is no forum .

Bivol fights on DeadZone and Hearn only cares about British fighters.

Any thread with Hearn has his clique of professional British bumlickers with a million posts to justify his bull****.
No promoter should be talking like that about a fighter in their own stable, the dude is so ****ing unprofessional. I actually get the impression that a lot of key people at Sky Sports dislike him immensely. But, like Johnson, he's the bees knees to our increasing population of poorly educated ****tards we have.

I understand the desire to make a mega fight with AJ vs Fury and paying Usyk to step aside to make it happen. But to suggest that Joshua would even consider dropping all of his belts if Usyk won't accept the payoff?? Come on now, we know that's BS!
