I don't know if he wins easily. At 130-135 I would lean Oscar because of the size difference, plus Manny hadn't fully evolved yet.

Both guys were probably at their best at 140 so that's a toss up. Manny might be too shifty and explosive but Oscar's jab and footwork would be difficult to handle as well.

At 147 I think Manny wins. He had more stamina and I could see him outworking Oscar down the stretch.

At 154, I think the Manny who beat Margarito would be too fast. Oscar wasn't the same at that weight and I think Manny would outhustle him.

140 would have been the fight to see with both in their prime.

Am I the only one who is in the opinion that De La Hoya and Pacquiao @ 154 AT THE TIME they fought would have been a great fight.
Oscar was looking bad against Forbes in the fight before. Also, Oscar was getting beat up pretty badly in sparring by Valero for the Pacquiao fight too.

Some very surprising twists in Las Vegas. Former super featherweight champion and current lightweight contender, Edwin Valero (24-0, 24KOs), claims that he busted up Oscar De La Hoya during their sparring session in Big Bear, California. Valero was brought in as a sparring partner to help De La Hoya prepare for Manny Pacquiao. Valero almost lashed out at De La Hoya while speaking to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, claiming that Oscar lied about who gave him a black eye, lied about his level of training and even predicted a knockout win for Pacquiao.

            Oscar was done.

Even a prime dela hoya doesn't stand a chance. It's a nightmare style for dela hoya.

Oscar at 154 on fight night is 20lbs bigger than what he was with Manny, can people believe Manny was heavier than Oscar on fight night thats how weight drained Oscar was, give him that 20lbs of weight where he is no longer drained like a prisoner of war and Oscar would run Manny over.

Manny had guys drained thats a huge advantage take that away and its totally different, Margo wasnt at 154 it was 150 which after 2 yrs out where he blew up to 190 one rubbish fight at 154 then 150 for Manny.

Cotto was 145 , a year later same Cotto is 154 WC and Manny called him out, Cotto said sure Manny but no CW and Manny ran off, same Cotto isnt it, Manny knows a 154 version is not what he beat.

Oscar would kill Manny without being drained.

Oscar the fight before he fought Floyd at 154 KOing a MW , look the power difference look at the strength and snap on his punches.

The fight before Manny Oscar struggling with a light punching LW Steve Forbes at 150 .
