I think a non-weight drained De La Hoya would have given Pacquiao fits. De La Hoya is a much better boxer then Margarito (Pacquiao's only 154 fight).

Am I the only one who is in the opinion that De La Hoya and Pacquiao @ 154 AT THE TIME they fought would have been a great fight.

It would have been better but DeLa Hoya would have still gased and would have been hurt, wasn't willing to work hard in the gym according to Valero

If Pac can take Margarito’s punches, he can take Dela Hoya’s too. Stylistically too, Oscar still cannot catch up with Pac’s hand speed and still end up getting confused with the punches that Pac is throwing.

octopule punches in bunches.. even at 154 oscar will hide inside his shell. too much speed and accuracy with power.

Nah i think same exact result, De La Hoya was washed after the Hopkins fight, Pacquaio's speed exposed it

I think Pacquiao still wins, maybe by decision instead of stoppage but the extra weight wouldn't have helped Oscar deal with Manny's speed.

would've been a toss up for sure. Oscar didn't belong in the ring that night. drained like a zombie

This. It would be a decision win for Pac
