Do you consider Devin Haney the real WBC champion?

    ^Title says it all.

After the Teo/Loma fight, Teo called Haney an email champ and a lot of people ran with that narrative. Haney wanted to fight Lomo but Loma vacated the belt to not fight him. So Haney gets upgraded from interim to world champion.

I believe that Haney should have had his opportunity, but I don't think he should've been elevated to world champion status just because Loma ducked him. Haney should've had at least 1 fight to earn it. HOWEVER, because of boxing politics/BS, he is now the WBC champ.

Teo saying that Haney's resume is trash and that he's not a real champ, but Haney is the one fighting his WBC mandatories, not Teo, so I consider Haney to be the legit champion, as flawed as it is.

Some people don't. Do you? Why or why not

Is not Haney's fault that Lomachenko ducked him. The WBC gave him the belt as a result of it so he's the WBC champion whether people like it or not. I would have preferred him winning it in the ring but blame Lomachenko for that. It is what it is.

He’s the real WBC champion cause I don’t believe in all this franchise sh**.

But the ABC’s don’t mean sh** to me also so the one and only champion at 135 is Teofimo Lopez as he’s the man who beat the man.

I do because Loma was the real WBC champ and then gave up the belt rather than make the mando defense. That isn't Haney's fault.

While I personally consider Teo the champ at 135, Teo and Haney should fight for the undisputed title.

Hahahaha nuff’ said. I will laugh if the WBC makes Lomochenko the mandatory to get his old WBC belt back and forces Haney to fight him. Then we will see if Lomochenko really ducked Haney. My bet is the following.....

Boxingscene.com - Haney states “Lomochenko lost his last fight, he’s in the back of the line”

I consider devon haney a world champion but i still consider Teofimo undisputed. As weird and contradictory as it sounds.

That doesn't change the fact that he ducked his mandatory and requested the Franchise belt to avoid mandatories. He had enough time fight both of them. None of this is Haney's fault.
