Didnt know Hooker was a welterweight. Big fight for Texas. Hooker can get high up in the WBO rankings to challenge for a belt with a win and Ortiz is adding a higher profile name to his resume if he can get the win

Fantastic fight. good step up for Ortiz. I have him winning, but Hooker can definitely threaten, even hurt Ortiz.

I would like to see how Vergil handles some adversity.

I agree. Orozco is a solid fighter had only lost once before fighting Ortiz, but he was moving up in weight to fight ortiz IIRC. Ortiz vs Hooker has me really excited. Tons of people are sleeping on Hooker. I have Ortiz winning this, but would not be Completely shocked if Hooker wins. He can crack.

I'm EXTREMELY surprised at the fact not a single comment so far is backing Hooker. If I had to pick a winner, I'd take Ortiz as well. But not only is this fight amazing, I think it's pretty damn close to call.

Again, I vote Ortiz. But with the many fans, and many view points of boxing fans, I figured after 4 pages deep there would be plenty of people that picked Hooker to win. But not a single one so far. Very interesting
