This is just what Vergil Ortiz needs, a step up in class against a former champion with solid skills. He's already proven he can easily dispatch lower level competition so I like this fight if it happens.

This could be Ortiz's coming out party (In boxing terms), whilst this could do wonders for Hooker's reputation as part of his comeback, i could see why they are both receptive to this fight.

You misunderstood me. I'm not disparaging Orozco. He's a solid fighter but he lost his two biggest tests/step up fights against Ramirez and Ortiz and has never won a world title so he's a fringe contender at best. His best win is against Keandre Gibson and that doesn't make him a higher level boxer. Hooker is a clear step up from Orozco.
