This is just what Vergil Ortiz needs, a step up in class against a former champion with solid skills. He's already proven he can easily dispatch lower level competition so I like this fight if it happens.

Would be surprised if hooker took this fight at this point, since he was acting funny style with Regis...thought he would be focused on building towards getting a belt at 147

Didnt know Hooker was a welterweight. Big fight for Texas. Hooker can get high up in the WBO rankings to challenge for a belt with a win and Ortiz is adding a higher profile name to his resume if he can get the win
