Hearns was a great win. Especially the manner in which it was won. Mugabi another really good win, considering the way in which it was won. Duran a pretty 'meh' win considering again the way in which it was won.

And as you said, clearly got beat by SRL. Marvin was old then, but so was SRL, and SRL was inactive and coming up 2 weight classes as well.

The rest of Hagler's resume is 'eh' as far as victories over good opponents. Not really much else to speak of. Still impressive to roll through about 10 solid pros like Marvin did though. Not that easy to do.

You could try to slight Marvelous by bringing up some early losses he had as well. But he was a guy who kind of learned on the job as a pro and improved presumably a great deal since those early asterisks.

Great tough fighter. Great stamina and workrate. Not the most skilled or the hardest to hit for elite fighters, but his chin, stamina, workrate and toughness made him an ATG fighter.

Vito Antufermo- Former Lineal Middleweight champion.

Roberto Duran- 4 weight champ, first ballot HOF’er.

Thomas Hearns- 5 Weight champ, first ballot HOF’er.

Then also Mugabi, Obelmejias who both went on to win world titles after losing to Hagler.

Hamsho was also a good fighter upset both Minter and Wilfred Benitez. Hagler stopped him twice.

Honestly though man, if you wanna educate yourself on Hagler the best thing to do is to go back and watch his fights.
All these polite Brits launched a barrage of beer bottles at Hagler. A shameful display by British Boxing Fans!

Minter and Antuofermo are defining fights.

Hearns and Duran are both p4p kings and great wins.

Mugabi was able to win a 168 title after he lost to Hagler.

                    The same goes to Obelmejias.

Hamsho ( 2x) is a very good win too.
