At least Callum Smith had the courage to take the fight.

Caleb Plant turned it down to fight Truax instead.

Caleb "im not impressed" Plant fought a blown up grubhub driver middleweight while Canelo dominated and shut out the ring magazine champ in Caleb's division.

After reading through the comments I can see many are overly emotional and truly don’t read and digest what’s actually been said. They read through the lens they want to see the comments in or don’t read it at all. This is the problem with internet commandos these days. They read and translate on what favors their fighter the most. In essence they aren’t sports fans they are celebrity chasers.

Both Plant and Canelo are exceptional fighters. I’ve liked both very much since they started and feel Canelo has the edge. However, when asked about the fight Plant was matter of fact and his statements were indeed factual. Smith didn’t want to engage. Smith while a skilled fighter does lack a great deal in levels to his game and talent. He is an A B C 1 2 3 fighter with very little if any adjustments during the fight. Plant is 100% factual in making these statements. As such, people with axes to grind and panties in a bunch immediately begin to bash on Plant because they feel their hero was disrespected instead of critically thinking through the article.

That’ll never change on this forum or on the internet in general. People have been given a platform to make them feel relevant and important in life.

Before I would feel the need to defend Canelo in saying that he beats Plant and Benavidez, but I prefer to agree that Benavidez and Plant, BJS are all “stylistic nightmares for Canelo” so that when they’re all beaten, it just makes more fans believers. why spoil it

Canelo beats all three. I said it. But I get your point. Canelo beats Plant and BJS convincingly. Benevidez may give him some problems. But Canelo wins all three. Hope to see the fights made!

Hahaha I haven’t the faintest. He is a great fighter as is Plant (to the eye plus he has a strap). Plant hasn’t seen nearly the competition Canelo has however Plant has elite footwork, elite hand speed and as you said very deceptive power. I feel he can cause Canelo all kinds of problems. However, I think Canelo has progressed so much that he now can adjust to boxers like Plant. Out of the entire division Plant does give him the biggest problem.

Please tell me why you would call ANY boxer a bum? Seriously. Does a man that puts his body through hell training and then his body in danger and at risk of death in the ring impact you that much to go piping off calling him a bum?
