Why are the best not constantly fighting the best in boxing?

    There many factors
    To many belts

Greedy promoters tryna keep fighters unbeaten

Fighters constant trying mimic Floyd and keep their 0

    To many network disputes

What do you think is the main factor? Look at MMA for example UFC,Bellator, One FC the best constantly fight each other and there is only one belt in each division.
The UFC has become the most popular franchise in combat sports in only just almost 3 decades.

While boxing as a whole slowly started to decrease its some what getting a rise again with certain boxers but barely enough as a whole to compete with the UFC why?

      They never really did.

      Sully ducked

      corbet-burns was solid

      Johnson ducked

Willard had no one to fight

      Dempsey's a duck

      Tunney's super racist duck

      Schmeling-Braddock all **** anyway

Louis had no one to duck

      Charles-Ali is quality but Larry's a duck

      80s was **** because Lar's a duck

The 90s HW scene is owed to one man, Evander. Tyson and Lewis is ducks

2000s saw plenty of ducking but worst of it is the freepass by K2 bros

      2010s = more ducking

Look, all folks do is duck today in the 20s

      Nice huh?

You have the Marciano era or about where no one gives a ****, the Burns era or abouts where no one gives a **** and the golden era, everyone gives ****s about.

Every other era was **** because of the sheer amount of ducking.

Think the gloves brought the ducks? Nah, 1830s is when America begins to give a **** and the entire reason was because rich folk from England were fed up with their champion ducking their number one contender so they brought him here, had him fight the Irish champion, and called the old one old hat while crowning a new, lineal, champion despite the champ back home not giving up his title, claim, or the fight for another 8 years or so.

Yeah boys, America boxes because England's 1 ducked England's 2 in the ****ing 1830s.

Ducking is just part of the sport.

Boxers dont chose their opponents most of the time its down to money and management, managers want to keep them winning and making money thats the bottom line a loss is big set back for fighters so their teams will spread it out, every fighter in history had most average guys on their resume with maybe 6 or so really top guy if they were great.

Boxing is a business first and foremost .

Big name fighters get the last word on who they fight.

You are under a misconception spread by scummy promoters
              and cowardly fighters.

Was there ever a period of time in boxing when the best were constantly fighting the best? I don't remember such a time.

Foreman and Frazier fought each other. Ali fought Ken Norton 3 times. Fought Frazier 3 times. Fought peak George Foreman. Fought Leon Spinks twice.

If that was today, Liston would have never faced Ali. And if he did, Ali sure as hell woulda ducked a rematch with Liston.

Money. Both promoters and fighters. The idea of boxers being scared is generally false. It's a business with the primary goal of making cash with the alphabet organisations being the mediating factor.
