Garcia absolutely does not need haney. If Garcia wants to go big then fight teo and become recognized as the real lw champ.

Personally if I was golden boy i would put him in against linares for a decent in house fight. i believe that was the path he was on before covid hit and messed things up. I'd stick to the plan.

Haney vs Garcia would be a good matchup. We have in this thread some saying Haney would school Garcia. Some saying Garcia would school Haney. This is why we want these fights -- to determine who is the best.

They have different skill sets and I don't think it's clear who is the winner. Haney gets stick because he couldn't get an old Gamboa out of there, but his flaws leave him less vulnerable than Garcia's flaws.

Garcia's speed and power might blow Haney out of the water; but a possible path to victory for Haney might come via exhausting Garcia and drowning him deep.

I'd like to see it.

Haney couldn't hurt a 50 year old how is he supposed to fight garcia?! I agree that garcia wouldn't last 3 rounds against gervonta from what we've seen tonight but he is still two levels above the youtube sparring champion haney.

I'm not saying it is my top choice personally although I wouldn't hate it. I'm saying it is a good move for golden boy as it gives him a chance to knock out a former multi division champion in an easy to make in house fight.

As a fan I want him to fight teo although I don't think he is ready yet.
