Comments Thread For: Hearn: Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia Will Now Be Ordered

Eddie Hearn, promoter for WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, expects the World Boxing Council to now order a fight with mandatory challenger Ryan Garcia. On Saturday night at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, Garcia scored a sensational knockout of another Hearn promoted fighter, 2012 Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell.

Haney will be the Andrade of the LW division. Hearn sent the wrong message in late 2019 placing him in a Youtuber's undercard. He has that B-Side vibe.

I'd probably be willing to bet anything this fight don't happen next.

Not really. Contrary to a lot of fans belief it made him more popular. It increased his following.

You have Tank, Lopez, & Ryan. Who was he ever gonna be the "A side" over? The only realistic one is Teofimo. & that's on himself because he didn't want to sign with Bob.

I’d rather see him face tank. Let’s hope for that because it’d be fireworks

Let the young guns fight for bragging rights instead of imitating the money fighters of the last decade. Fuego!

Ryan is going to get schooled or KO'ed. Devin is too much of a step up for him.

You realize they fought a few times in amateurs an I believe Ryan has the majority of wins

Was gaining a few thousand Instagram followers worth fighting under Logan Paul? It's one thing to fight on the undercard of Canelo or Joshua, but KSI?

Both PBC and Top Rank would have done a better job with Haney, he limited his exposure signing with Eddie. Hearn had no track record in the USA. Haney's getting paid well though, so there's that.
