Bread really needs to start actually scoring fights & studying compubox,I mean for someone whos supposed to be a hofer type breadth of boxing knowledge he sure doesn't score fights or keep up with compubox, that's why its so hard to agree with his assessment of who should've won & how to rate fighters based on that, like in close fights especially.

Take Loma for example theres no way anyone should ever be justified for scoring it a draw,Teo clearly won the fight imho(by at least 8-4 rds 7-5 if being extremely generous),but because Bread didn't score the fight hes forced to meet the fanboi halfway & then he doesn't commit to what the fight was entirely.

How often have you watched a fight without scoring then when rewatching with scoring realize how wrong you were upon initial impression? (I personally thought Loma lost almost every round, but after rewatching & scoring & comparing scores with compubox I realized that Loma could've won a few more rds than I gave him initially,I know compubox isn't everything though)

And the dude saying Campbell stops garcia is out of his mind imho(we shall see,I wouldn't mind if he got humbled)

I don’t know why people reference Compubox. Compubox is a joke. It’s like the handbook Boxing for dummies. Judges don’t see Compubox, corners don’t see Compubox, fighters don’t see Compubox. People don’t understand that we can see every twitch, every shot thrown and every shot landed from the camera angles on television.

What’s not explained clearly to fight fans and what I’d expect true boxing fans to understand is the shots we see on television one to two judges may never have seen. Why this needs to be explained on a boxing forum is beyond me but here goes.

Judges sit on different sides of the ring at ring level. If action in a round is occurring on predominantly one or two sides of the ring one or two judges within a round may not see the action occurring for a majority of a round with two fighters in a clinch. Therefore their perspective of a round may differ greatly from that of the one or two judges who see the action clearly.

It’s beyond me that this still needs to be explained. Whenever I read someone referencing “Compubox” my first thought is “yup another boxing casual has graced us with their presence”. With that said, even with or without Compubox, even with the television angles we were able to see and the judges weren’t, on that night Loma lost as clear as the sun rises in the East. Lopez won the fight and it doesn’t matter if someone says Loma only won two or three rounds. I could see any level of scoring for that fight in favor of Lopez.

I’ll stand by it, anyone referencing Compubox in order to justify a boxer’s performance win or lose doesn’t know the boxing game and is in its purest form is a boxing casual.

Calm down man, getting too emotional & completely mistranslating what I said. BREAD referenced compubox & said he didn't score the fight & then he assumed someone writing to him was using compubox, nobody said anything remotely resembling the rubbish you just assumed. NoBody said they score fights based off compubox & if you read my comment properly youd see that. You love jumping off the handle talking about casuals & you have the nerve explaining to me basic bs about boxing,GTFO with that bs

Compubox is used as a general reference to show activity more than anything round by round & it helps as a REFERENCE to keep track of exact stats impossible for a scorer to tabulate.

Its a way to gauge rds where the other fighter COULD'VE won on certain cards, even if you disagree or if most disagree, thats why Loma fans saw him in a close fight, they gave him the close rds & compubox shows those cards are possible & why & it shows rds where the fighter was blown out.(even though its not exact, its an ESTIMATE)its a way to gauge especially when someone was blatantly robbed like Pac v Bradley where compubox was dead accurate,or pac vs Horn, those fights compubox showed what everyone saw,a robbery that wasn't close.

Compubox has been proven to pick the winner in over 90% of fights. Sounds like you have a lot to learn

I’m not in any way emotional I’m just as plain as plain can be. People seem to think Compubox is this computer wizardry like the old way College football teams were rated. Compubox isn’t an automated system. It’s run by two HUMAN operators who like judges miss punches landed and punches thrown. It’s about as accurate and useful as a one legged man in an a s s kicking contest.
