You heard it here first. By the end of 2021, Berlanga is going to be one of the top 5 most popular boxers. Within a few years he will get a superfight with Canelo or GGG. This kid has all the makings of being a star. He just won the 2020 Prospect of year award after knocking out 3 opponents in the 1st round. Everyone ****s on his competition, but it was better than Mike Tyson's.

I agree. He has all the tools inside & outside the ring of being the next superstar. He keeps winning as he steps up and it'll all come together for him.

I'm just a little concerned he has the same number of fights as Ortiz & Fundora and he's about the same age but his level of competition hasn't been at their level. I'm afraid he's getting that Top Rank diet

He's got the KO power to be a big name in boxing. We are gonna have to see him in vs guys waaaaaaaaay better than he's been in with til we can say he can really be a big name. There are a ton of fun to watch journeymen/fringe contenders with crazy power doe so don't think Edgar couldn't end up there cuz there are a ton of unknowns & questions with him still.

The one thing thats really good for him is 168 is a money division for a change. We got Canelo the biggest name in the game. We got Plant. We got Benavidez. Jacobs is there & a big name still. GGG looks like he'll be there & he's a big name still. Mall is gonna be there soon probably & he's a growing name. Its a sexy division where you can make a name for yourself if you can win the fights vs a couple of these guys.

Still has ways to go and a lot of prove but he is on the right path for sure. Top Rank and ESPN doing a masterful job building him up

I think going forward you will see MULTIPLE Superstars in boxing which is a great thing instead of that 1 Face 1 Superstar. NFL, NBA all of these other sports leagues have MULTIPLE Superstars not just 1 Guy. Berlanga has all the potential to be one of boxings next big stars for sure. He will have MSG going crazy once this Pandemic is over and they're able to have a Crowd again!

Can we see him vs an established journeyman first? If I fight Uber drivers and Amazon Warehouse workers, I think I have a good shot at staying undefeated.

Might as well go for it. It's always nice to brag about having profesional fights, even more if you have an undefeated record, even if it's against tomato cans, it's more than most could say.

the kid is ALL brawling. no defense no jab no footwork and does not pace himself. some day, I don't think soon tho. will face somebody who will take his punches and hit as hard and then we will see. at this point we don't know if he has a chin, stamina and a heart. no but..... he is a "beast" as he calls himself. facepalm
