Who is better - Andrade or Jermall?

I ask the question because I am uncertain really of both of their levels. Both have one great outing in my mind - Andrade vs Sulecki, and Charlo vs JRock - where they each showed what could make them special.

Andrade, a big southpaw, who can neutralize you and coast to an easy decision. Charlo, a strong explosive puncher who can take you out in moment's notice.

I just feel like if/when one of them loses in a step up fight, a lot of those fans will shift to the other guy.

Obviously, things can change in just 1 fight. If either guy struggles and loses in reality (maybe not on the cards) to a Ryder type fighter in their next fight, it would be reasonable for someone to think less of them then, than they may now.

But who would you all rate better? Or are both very good? Or both pretty overrated?

I don’t think they can be compared though.

You said if and when they step up. Charlo has stepped up. Andrade hasn’t.

Andrade has a boring decision win over Vanes, where he was dropped. That was like 8 years ago.

Charlo has beaten Derevyanchenko, J-Rock, Trout, Korobov, Hogan. He has stepped up and won. I doubted he would beat Derevyanchenko clearly but he proved me wrong.

Andrade on the other hand, needs to step up against any top 10 fighter. Stop being picky looking for money and just fight any top 10 Ring MW.

I think all the choices are there. You can pick either, both, or neither.

What other option could there be?

Probably one of few, but I was more impressed with Andrade vs Sulecki, than Charlo vs Derevy.

Sulecki fought Jacobs very close, and Andrade dominated him. Was a man vs a boy. Jacobs does fight down to the level of his competition though, this is true.

Derevy fought Jacobs (and GGG) very close. Charlo performed as expected to me vs Derevy in that fight. I thought he showed he belonged against top fighters, but I don't think he excelled like some have said. I actually think he got edged out in that fight.

His rocking JRock who has the win over Hurd, was more impressive to me.

If people want to rate Charlo based on that 'win' over Derevy, I would just say be careful...I don't think some of those talking points from that fight were too accurate. But if people are co-signing that, then it will be hard to back away if he steps up and loses. It may make a win against him look more legit than it should, relatively speaking.

              You misunderstanding.

& I'm talking about the way you worded it. From your thread, to the options.. Why can't I say who's better & say they're both good. See what I'm saying? If you woulda just asked "who's better" my answer would be different.

I got ya. I think you can do that. Just vote for the one you think is better, but you could also drop a line saying that both are good. If you think they are both good but about even, then the both are good option is best.

I voted for both are good. To me they are both top contenders, but not exactly sure if either one is better. And wouldn't be surprised if one steps up and falls way short, while the other excels in that type of fight.

In a head to head fight I'd have to favor Charlo slightly. Only because he's been in with better opposition. Boring fight though.

And there’s that pro ggg/anti Charlo agenda again.
