I’d be shocked if BJS really stepped up to the challenge.

I feel bad for Andrade. Best unknown talent in boxing. BJ will wait until May to fight Canelo leaving Andrade again without a marquee opponent

When I called him the best way back when & still to this day. It reassures me I was way ahead of the curve. This shìt can't all be his fault or coincidence that these dudes rather look elsewhere than fight him. You'd have to be a person that truly just ignores all the signs or, is in denial. You can't say it's high risk low reward while omitting some of these other guys he's trying to fight are "supposed" to be high risk low reward as well. If they're so avoided why don't they want to fight another guy that's avoided?... In boxing you can orchestrate your career around 1 fighter you're the most uncertain about beating but fight other top guys & they'll praise you whilst knowing you refuse to fight a specific top fighter(s). This shìt is digusting.Last edited by MPDKSAB; 12-29-2020, 11:13 AM.

Still want to know why Andrade and Charlo haven't spoke of one another or fought one another from 154 - 160. No excuse for that fight not happening.

Since it appears Canelo may be booked until fall 2021, Andrade should look elsewhere to make some waves as Alvarez and BJS will be unavailable. Perhaps a unification with GGG or lobbying Hearn to get him a fight with Charlo.
More likely than not, I see both Andrade and GGG fighting more underwhelming competition while hoping for a fall 2021 encounter with Canelo.

Canelo Alvarez working on two-fight deal for Yildirim and Saunders on DAZN
December 28, 2020:
Though Canelo Alvarez would remain a promotional and broadcast free agent otherwise, his team and Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn are working on a two-fight deal for the Mexican superstar, which would include bouts on DAZN in February and May, The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger reported on the weekend.
The first bout, as previously mentioned, would be a fight against WBC super middleweight mandatory challenger Avni Yildirim, likely on Feb. 27 in Guadalajara, Mexico...
The second fight, should Canelo beat Yildirim as would be expected without any trouble, would be a unification in May with WBO titleholder Billy Joe Saunders, a Matchroom fighter.

The conundrum that is the wake of the aftermath of the Floyd era. Everyone wants to retain their undefeated record thinking that is what gives them more power to negotiate etc. Boxers think they can be this slick defensive style boxer and avoid trading without putting in the effort to create a name for themselves. Look at Rigondeaux's career. Great boxer and dominating most of his career but he is too boring for the casuals therefore he will never bring in the big bucks and promoters do not want that. Andrade needs to have a few statement fights and give his promoters reason to invest time and money on him.
If you want the big boys you have to play by the rules unfortunately. Start knocking out opponents early and consistently and you will gain the attention of the casual fans which will end up making it worth while for people like Canelo to even consider fighting you.

Probably makes more sense for DAZN to invest in as part of a 2 fight deal since it can help expand their international markets. If DAZN gets these fights, will be very curious what happens in fall of 2021 when Canelo fights again.
