Comments Thread For: Demetrius Andrade Willing To Take Pay Cut To Fight Billy Joe Saunders

Demetrius Andrade wants to face Billy Joe Saunders so badly that he is prepared to do the unthinkable: to forgo his usual high-figure purse demand for a title fight. "This is what I'm willing to do," Demetrius said on a recent episode of the SI Boxing Podcast with Chris Mannix.

Boo-Boo's time at MatchRoom has been an absolute failure!

Canelo Alvarez working on two-fight deal for Yildirim and Saunders on DAZN

        December 28, 2020:

Though Canelo Alvarez would remain a promotional and broadcast free agent otherwise, his team and Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn are working on a two-fight deal for the Mexican superstar, which would include bouts on DAZN in February and May, The Athletic’s Mike Coppinger reported on the weekend.

The first bout, as previously mentioned, would be a fight against WBC super middleweight mandatory challenger Avni Yildirim, likely on Feb. 27 in Guadalajara, Mexico...

The second fight, should Canelo beat Yildirim as would be expected without any trouble, would be a unification in May with WBO titleholder Billy Joe Saunders, a Matchroom fighter.

I don't really know how these boys can call themselves fighters.. But don't want to fight the best.. Andrade.. Charlo.. Why them boys can't get no work... Andrade did Charlo wrong back in the day.. So i can see the beef there.. But the way this is looking.. Yawl may have to fight each other just to get a decent body on yo resume.. Smh.. Shame on ggg, and canelo.. I think Eubank drags Saunders in the rematch anyway.. So !ets see Eubanm vs Charlo.. That's pure fire!!!!! Im ready to pay 75 greenbacks for that one right now!

He has been seriously overlooked from a promotional standpoint and wasting his good years with a company that's not gonna give him a chance at stardom

That's a good idea, for Demetrious Andrade to be willing to take a pay cut to fight Billy Joe Saunders. He has to do something to jump start his boxing career. Unfortunately Saunders appears to be lined up to fight Canelo in May 2021. He's not going to do anything that would jeopardize that fight from taking place. He's already lost out on one opportunity to fight Canelo in the past. I don't think that he'll make that same mistake twice. But who knows with Saunders, he has said, and do some ******, and criminal things in the past.

And watch Eddie talk like he’s canelos promoter and how great he’s done for Saul and dazn 😂.

I wish people would wake up and realise with Eddie Hearn, the fighter doesn’t come first, MATCHROOM BOXING the brand does. That’s why the man craves attention.

We talking about a man who, when his wife opened up her own business and had a launch night, this waste of space (Eddie) INVITED BOXING MEDIA. Just so he could fulfil his attention seeking ways! PATHETIC.

And unlike Crawford, Andrade's desired foes are all (besides Charlo) in-house fights! Waste of talent!
