I haven't seen anyone claim that. In fact there are a lot of threads on this site discrediting the Brook win. Who are these people saying he was a monster? Call out some names bruhComment

he was shot to hell and been badly hurt twice. that stripper gave him serious problems who was something like number 100 in the world. he went from taking GGGs best shots to going down from a crawford jab.Comment

Well first of all, people overuse the term "bum" so I take that with a grain of salt.
Brook was very good at his peak and he's still a skilled fighter. The problem is that his punch resistance isn't what it used to be due to the damage he sustained in the GGG and Spence fights.Comment

Well if you value the rankings, like Ring magazine, then he was elite from 2014-2017. If you think that everybody besides the p4p top 10 is a bum then I guess he was never elite.
I've seen lots of comments saying that Brook got KOed by a jab but the punch had torque on it and Kell essentially ran into it while throwing a right hand.
Also, just look at how Brook's neck snapped sideways when the punch landed. Bud's punch was more of a hybrid jab-hook.Comment

He wasnt even elite in 2017, the guy beat 1 boxer worth a damn in Porter..other then that he fought horrible comp...BUT then he got his entire damn face broken, got hit with a damn machete and never fought at 147 again until 2020...He is a shot boxer who was never elite to begin withComment

Top WW maybe but never elite. He really didn't beat anybody of note and did not have a good run either. Because he was content in fighter euro fighters he never was in contention to fight May or Pac even when he was smack in the middle in that era.Well if you value the rankings, like Ring magazine, then he was elite from 2014-2017. Always hurt, always in some altercation, fighting a name fighter and then do a switch and fight a second or third tier fighter.
I don't get where anybody says he was elite and he gets way too much credit for the GGG loss.Comment
