I don’t care if he’s a mandatory, GGG was a mandatory and he vacated the belt, Charlo was a mandatory and he became “franchise champion”, Derevyanchenko was a mandatory and he vacated the belt. Just do the same here instead of partaking in this pointless mismatch.

Canelo is the best fighter in the sport. Yildirim is European level at best. This is a complete waste of time.

Canelo says his goal is to get all the belts at 168 and be completely undisputed champion at 168. to do that he must fight Yildirim next or be stripped of his WBC 168 pound title. GGG's last fight was for the same reason. he had to fight the polish guy or lose his world title. These top champions have no choice but to fight their mandos or lose their world titles. Unfortunately it is just the way it is. After Canelo KOs Yildirim he will try to fight Plant or Saunders to try to win their titles.

They’re big draws but it’s not good for the sport, imagine instead of the Super Bowl we had the Chiefs playing a team of YouTubers cause it would draw more money. It would never happen.

He's on track to fight three times in 2021 so I don't see any issue in this. If he wants to become an undisputed champ at 168 then good for him.

Golovkin needs to be in interesting fights if he wants to leave a legacy. He should at the very least try for Munguia and Andrade in 2021.

They ALL have low rent opponents, look at Manny fighting an 11 fight Horn, its just the way it is because you cannot fight the best continuum.

The thing here is the short turn around, there is no way he would fight another big fight in the time frame, plus its his mandatory plus its his chance to fight in Mexico which a big fight would be Las Vegas so he gets to perform at home with no issues.

I dont like the opponent but I understand it.
