Charlo wanted $20 million to even start negotiations. That what ended it.

I agree with Reynoso in that Canelo can call the shots now since he's the 168 champ.

now you know it’s not that simple. These two hard headed divas are gonna argue over ever little minute detail from weight , to purse split, to ring size , to refs , to fight location. Etc.

Not long ago they had said that Canelo-GGG III would have to take place at 160.

This team really lacks integrity in so many ways.

                    April of 2020:

Eddy Reynoso, trainer of Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez, says the trilogy fight with Gennady Golovkin will take place at the middleweight limit of 160-pounds, where GGG holds the IBF world title. Canelo still holds the WBC franchise, WBA titles at 160-pounds, and also holds the WBA "regular" title at super middleweight.

Canelo's Coach: We Want GGG at 160 - But We'll Make A lot of Noise at 168!
Reminds me of "I'm a junior middleweight not a middleweight" and then weeks later "my ideal weight is 160".

That’d be a great fight too but you’re kidding yourself if ya think Canelo is scared of a guy with like 3 quality wins that has also consistently fought below his natural weight class. Coming up should be no problem for Charlo as he could easily fight at light heavyweight. However, considering his thunderous KO power has seemed to disappear already at middleweight, he may be too timid to move up. Charlo takes as many heavy shots from Canelo as he did Derevyanchenko and it’ll be a long night for him. Canelo is much athletic, skilled, and experienced in big fights than Chenko. Canelo would go to town on Charlo’s body
