I think Joshua has evolved as a fighter. A loss will do that to any fighter. Now it seems like Joshua rather than go in for the kill will wait to see what a fighter brings to the table and once he does this over 3-4 rounds then he goes in for a stoppage.

I thought was a perfect performance from Joshua. Exactly the right mix of caution and aggression.

No one sensible tries to bulldoze Pulev. When he didn't stop him in the 3rd round he went back to boxing until the time was right.

It's funny how everyone is ignoring that Pulev clearly quit in the 3rd round and turned his back. Imagine if AJ had done that... double standards on forum from certain people

Personality and style - AJ has neither, and that's his problem.

What a ****** comment! You’re saying he is false but you don’t know him.

He fought Klitschko in something like fight no 17 and picked up all the belts beating the champs, Martin, Parker etc

So how is he scared of the ‘big dogs’?

Assume the only two fighters you are talking about are Wilder and Fury? Well it’s now came out that Wilder turned down a big money offer and ducked him!

He is unified HW champion of the world, do you really think he is scared of anyone in the ring?

Not saying he would beat Fury but do you not think in his mind he 100% believes he can beat them?

Doubt very much he is ‘scared’

And all the haters, that was a great performance by Joshua, he controlled the whole fight and made it look easy. I do have to say I was more impressed with his performance vs Andy in the rematch but that doesn’t take anything away from this fight vs Pulev. Great win by the champ

What are people supposed to do? Go crazy and be fawning saying he was incredible for beating a 40 year old that hasn’t had a meaningful fight in 6 years, and got knocked out in that one

AJ did what he had to do, so fair play but it was nothing to write home about

Even his career, he’s never beaten a current top fighter and long reigning champ. It’s just been a steady feast of old men and C level fighters. At least Fury for having his fair share of poor opponents, he’s also taken belts off real long reigning champs. That’s when you get respect, winning the fights where you prove you can beat champions that have had reigns

Joshua is P4P #1 and the GOAT heavyweight. My mistake.
Hughie Fury would be Wilders second best win .

I thought Joshua look really good against Pulev. I felt the ref got in the way & gave Pulev too much time to recover in the 3rd round after 2 KDs. He mixed up his attack including jabs to the body. The uppercut was his most effective shot as he landed at will. I’m not the biggest Joshua fan as I like Fury & Wilder better but I give him full credit for his performance.

because it was a BS mandatory in 2014 and was even a weaker one in 2020.
Well you weren’t here 6 years ago and couldn’t be more wrong as usual.

The general consensus from what I saw in the thread was ...

Pulev will not be an easy opponent for Klitschko.
