The funny thing is people will overlook that and criticize Devin Haney for "not fighting anybody". What can he do if the top guys make up excuses to say no?

Calls outs are meaningless when he hasn't made any offers to Davis. Same goes for Haney. They should put their promoters to work to send a signed contract. Nothing in writing? Then, it doesn't exist. Talk is cheap.

Garcia would be a fool to be calling out Haney before at least giving Davis a chance to come up with excuses. Garcia/Davis is a huge fight. Garcia/Haney is a fight no bigger than fighting Campbell, a fight Ryan better not be looking passed.

It doesn’t pay well though. Haney isn’t a name or a draw. And on top of that he hasn’t beaten anyone, so beating him does little unless you want a belt that has little credibility based on how Haney attained it.
