People forget Crawford turned down the Spence fight this year?

On DAZN's Boxing with Chris Mannix podcast, Crawford said he spoke with Spence and told him that when he does step back into the ring to not even think about selecting him as his first opponent back, as he won't accept the offer.

"(Spence) said he's going right into a fight with Danny Garcia, (Manny) Pacquiao, me," Crawford told Mannix. "I told him 'Don't come back trying to fight me because that ain't the fight you really want on your first fight to come back.' I wouldn't even take that fight if it was offered to me because it's a lose-lose situation for me.

"If something was to happen and I knocked him out or beat him up bad, they (media and fans) would say 'He's not the same Errol Spence, he's coming off a car accident,' and that would never end for my whole career," he added. "I just want to see him at the old Errol Spence that he used to be, and then me and him are going to fight
    ."

Spence tells him he's in the running to fight him and Bud tells him don't pick him. That fight could've been made if Bud really wanted it. He doesn't want the fight. Why do you think he turned down the fight, keeps pricing himself out and saying he doesn't need Spence and he doesn't care if he ever fights him.

When Spence is interviewed he says that's a fight that HAS to happen.

Crawford: Spence Fight Not Important, I Don't Need Him For My Legacy - He Needs Me!

Terence Crawford’s dossier is one of the most dissected and disputed dichotomies in boxing. The former undisputed unified lightweight champion and current WBO welterweight champion Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) believes his accomplishments thus far as a three-division champion has been enough to silence his critics.

Crawford fought nobody hasnt fought a legit top 10 in the division nor have they fought another champ. I find that massive ironic especially knowing its common sense haymon would sign off ugas in a heart beat for crawford u dnt have to pay ugas hed love a legit title shot at this stage and is a huge step up in competition for crawford with legit change to beat em take belt n freeze division. Litetally if crawford doesnt fight porter thurman ugas or either garcia in 2021 we know the truth. Get the idea spence vs crawford in 2021 out for that fight needs to sale above 750k ppv to justify paydays n bteak even n well spence only does 250-300k top n crawford does a dismal half thst #. U got put crawford vs porter on tv build fanbase n put spence on tv then maybe thatd be enough to build it to 500k or such for next fight. They both need broaden star power n truthfully unless they plan to co main event in separate fights on a canelo card to broaden audience then public tv vs quality opp n social media is only other way to build audience. Fighting shot fighters or overcharging ppl nearly 80 dollars a fight for a fight thats worth 50 max isnt how u build stars especially modern day

                  Lol.

                  Crawford being a good samaritan.

Fights a way past it, non ranked Brook and Khan as his biggest welterweight fights but cares about the fans opinions about Spence.

If Crawford was offered a fight vs Mikey Garcia coming off a car accident, he would jump all over it.

Ugas isn’t all that. Why do some fans keep mentioning him as a boogieman for Crawford? If Ugas, Mikey Garcia, Lipinets or DSG is offered to Crawford, he would take them in a heartbeat.

I don’t see anything in Ugas style that would prevent Crawford from showing any respect and not jumping all over him for a TKO. Ugas is exactly in line to what Crawford prefers. A lower tier opponent he can walk through.

If Crawford beating Ugas is enough for some fans then the standards for what a big hard fight is has changed dramatically.
