How did he loose the weight tho, did he use a high protein diet slowly dropping the carbs so he lost a lb or so each week?
That’s why I’m ****ing my head against a wall on here, I’m not getting involved in training and nutrition anymore it’s like trying to explain things to a ****** woman.

Yes you have Ectomorphs, Endomorphs, and Mesomorphs.

Andy Ruiz Junior is not the same body type as Anthony Joshua, he is not the same body type even as Mike Tyson. There is Epigenetics I.E How life style changes and diet affect the expression of our genetics 'But I think such things go deeper than just mere physiology' Ruiz Junior has been a certain way for most of his life 'I am not trying to say he cannot change, as I will never say never' BUT I don't know the man enough.

Innately Ruiz Junior body wants to be a certain way. Even character wise, he himself wants to live and act a certain way 'Why is it, that fighters like Tyson Fury & Andy Ruiz Junior find it so difficult to show the same kind of discipline as Anthony Joshua or Floyd Mayweather 'Why is it a big deal to them? Tyson Fury before he fought Wilder in the rematch, wanted a pat on the back for cutting out diet cokes' etc.

I watched a interview in America, where Fury sat with interviewers 'Claiming that he had made sacrifices, and proceeded to mention that he no longer drinks Cola'.

Note: I don't entirely put Tyson Fury in the same category as Ruiz Junior 'If need be, I think he could force himself into a ascetic type of training life' but maybe only for certain periods of time. Where as Joshua, I believe can do this all year round etc

Tyson Fury is the favorite, and on current form maybe should beat Anthony Joshua 'But Joshua is training right now, not as gifted as Fury but? Anthony Joshua is like Batman in his approach to tackling obstacles 'It is the one trait he has, that I don't see in any other current heavyweight'.

Losing weight isn’t the issue really it’s not hard at all for natural bigger guys . It was harder for me to gain weight then him take off ,I was light and a hard gainer trying to add weight which is more difficult then taking it off . Add in the advanced science today that wasn’t around decades ago along with far better protein and muscle building supplements that were non existent in my time .

As you age you also pack on muscle easier ,your metabolism slows ,for a heavy person a strict diet and a pro athlete with an entire team around him should lose whatever pounds they want they get paid for this stuff hire world class nutritionist etc. ,I don’t see how people think it’s unbelievable or magic they pull this off ? I think most on here see a fighter just goes to and from the gym and does it on his own , no it doesn’t work like that they have guys hired and assigned to keep track of the fighters progress in specific areas and monitor them , it’s part of being a top athlete or competitor . AJ probably has 10 guys on his payroll for various things .

I think if Joshua fights smart, he's the fave against any version of Ruiz. It looks like Joshua has learned from his experiences and mistakes. Joshua has bigger fish to fry right now.

Well the most disciplined guy always has dominated the era . A.J in my book is favored over Fury he’s an athlete 24/7 ,he doesn’t decide when and where to take training seriously when he feels like it .

Ruiz and Fury have one thing in common , they have somewhat of a false perception of reality they live in . Each thinks or thought in Ruiz case he was untouchable after getting a title . A.J knows to well throughout his career he has to continue to improve just for himself , while the other guys had the attitude of there’s nothing more to learn .

Fury got a scare in the Wallin fight and changed teams . If AJ did that people would ridicule him even though they don’t know boxing history, Lennox Lewis did it at least 3 times before hitting the jackpot with Steward .

Ruiz got lucky once bc A.J was off point . We saw what happened in the rematch.

I would go with the guy always moving forward and not panicking who has defended titles with much more to lose . My moneys on A.J against anyone right now .

Ruiz says he has never lifted weights before. Doing things totally different now that he's with Canelo's team.

At his best, he'd give anybody problems! He shouldn't focus too much on losing weight though, For his body type, I think 240-250 lbs is ideal for him.

ruiz has to spark out wilder or fury, twice in a row because they would have a rematch clause, then the public would demand the trilogy with AJ and AJ would still likely duck it with muh mandatories.

good for ruiz for reducing his heart disease risk though
