Lopez got scared fast. Thought he was going to teach Haney a lesson a few months back lol
That's like all these fighters once they win the title - give them 6 months and they become cautiousComment

Bro, boxing is what have you done for me lately. All those BS P4P, belt holder, etc., don't matter at all in real life once you lose, and embarrassingly at that in Loma's case.
Fortuna and Haney have been waiting for that belt for a very long while, along with all the other top 5-10. Campbell is having 2 shots at the WBC. Something not making sense to me here.
Loma deserves nothing. He needs to prove himself.
Loma doesn't need to prove himself. He is/was on the P4P list because he was a multi-weight world champion. That's like saying Ali lost to Frazier now he needs to prove himself before the rematch. These modern fighters get scared easy that's all that has happened here. If Lopez was going to be a great he would take the Haney and Loma fights and win them both. But he has doubts...Comment

I’m fed up with all of them to be honest. I wish Benevidez, Plant, Andrade, Charlo would all fight it out amongst each other instead of sitting and waiting for a payday as well. Canelo can only pick one at a time.
However, imagine if Plant fought Benevidez. Imagine after that fight. The media and boxing public at large would be so loud that it’d force a fight upon Canelo. The reason I don’t see them fighting each other is because of potential “0.” A “0” today doesn’t land the big money. So why risk it?
In the 80’s a 0 meant little to nothing. Each elite boxer knew that even if a “0” came about they were still getting paid well and even into their next fight. All they wanted to do is fight each other and face all elite opposition. They didn’t just talk about it like today, they actually faced elite opposition frequently. Even if they lost one or two they knew they had such a fan following and popularity they’d land another and potentially win and be right back in the hunt.
Boxing felt very different during that time. I still say to this day Mayweather, along with the media and social media ruined boxing. A loss is now seen as almost a death sentence and not worthy of getting top paid fights. Now all anyone talks about is if so and so boxer will be the next 50-0, or landing the Canelo payday. Because of this very few boxers take the risks their counterparts from the 80’s did. Everyone wants to be “Mayweather” and because of that boxing is dying.
The fact is, Canelo ducked Charlo and Andrade for 2 divisions straight, and they were belt holders! Canelo also CHOSE to fight Kovalev, who almost got stopped by Yarde, on short notice, when he could've fought Bivol or Beterbiev in what are perceived as tougher opposition because they're both champions in their prime. He also chose to fight Callum Smith in TX, on ppv, when Benavidez and Plant would've been better foes, especially in the US.
Golovkin, who's also been called out by Charlo and Andrade, and has had 2 shots against Canelo, gets to fight guys like Szeremeta and Rolls, and he's entitled to a 3rd fight with Canelo before any of the other guys get their first shot?
I'm sorry, but its difficult to hold guys like Charlo, Plant, Andrade, and Benevidez to some kind of nonexistent standard for quality of opposition, when guys who are supposed to be the face of boxing, are not held to those same standards.Comment

I never said it doesn’t. I’m telling people who don’t know, that he’s most likely fighting George next. I don’t care that it trumps a mandatory. I’m telling you what’s happening next. So Haney may aswell go fight a guy with a pulse, and better odds than 10,000/1 odds. Then maybe people will clamour to see him face Lopez. Right now hardly anybody cares.
It’s biggest in U.S and right now you guys ain’t got FULL Capacity of fans do you? In ANY State? I may well be wrong. I’m English. So until all parties involved are able to fully max out the revenue, ya ain’t getting that fight.
So like I’ve stated, Lopez will go Oz get a great payday defend his titles in a showcase defence in front of 10s of thousands of fans, great fight for him. And NOBODY has any right in knocking that fight. And nobody has any right saying that George Kambosos hasn’t earned his shot. He has. So I don’t need anybody telling me unification trumps a mando.
I’m telling you guys that Teofimo will kill two birds in one stone with the fight. So wether IBF called it yet or not, he’s the mando and it will be dealt with their.Comment
