Haney does not deserve a chance. Lopez is the champion, make Haney beg for it and his promoter put up 10 million is fair price.

I hear you. And whether I agree or not, you’ve got every right to believe that. You’ve seen or heard something, to make you feel that way. I’m glad you could atleast debate without getting personal or petty, so I appreciate it. Crazy I know, but that goes a long way on here, I found that out real quick! Enjoy you’re Christmas buddy, hope you and yours have a good one.

Fighters can talk. Talk is cheap. It's up the promoters to make the fights. Loma ducked Haney for Lopez because Arum wanted the garbage WBC belt in house.

Hell, you gotta think Benavidez or even a guy like Caleb plant (who's American) does better ppv numbers in America, and sells more in TX than Callum Smith...

A real boxing fan would be fed up...
I’m fed up with all of them to be honest. I wish Benevidez, Plant, Andrade, Charlo would all fight it out amongst each other instead of sitting and waiting for a payday as well. Canelo can only pick one at a time.

However, imagine if Plant fought Benevidez. Imagine after that fight. The media and boxing public at large would be so loud that it’d force a fight upon Canelo. The reason I don’t see them fighting each other is because of potential “0.” A “0” today doesn’t land the big money. So why risk it?

In the 80’s a 0 meant little to nothing. Each elite boxer knew that even if a “0” came about they were still getting paid well and even into their next fight. All they wanted to do is fight each other and face all elite opposition. They didn’t just talk about it like today, they actually faced elite opposition frequently. Even if they lost one or two they knew they had such a fan following and popularity they’d land another and potentially win and be right back in the hunt.

Boxing felt very different during that time. I still say to this day Mayweather, along with the media and social media ruined boxing. A loss is now seen as almost a death sentence and not worthy of getting top paid fights. Now all anyone talks about is if so and so boxer will be the next 50-0, or landing the Canelo payday. Because of this very few boxers take the risks their counterparts from the 80’s did. Everyone wants to be “Mayweather” and because of that boxing is dying.

I do not like the fact that Teofimo is turning into a diva at such a young age. Go build up your resume, instead of finding reasons that you don't nees or want to fight other fighters. Remember styles make fights Teo.

ok..now that statement makes sense if that were the case. Loma himself didnt dodge anyone...Lopez was the more difficult fight for Loma bc of his power and size advantage. Haney seems to lack power.

It's a little odd that Lopez talks about Haney needing to develop some more while Kombosos got a disputed win over Selby and Bey so I doubt Kombosos is even as developed as Haney. I don't think anyone believes Kombosos is more developed than Haney. Haney would box circles around the guys that arguably beat Kombosos.

What Lopez should say is that Haney is a better fighter than Kombosos but he is choosing Kombosos just because of the money in Australia, to keep it real. But Lopez better knock the dude out or there could be some bad scoring going on down under.

So many unifications or undisputed fights being passed off due to some lame pathetic reasoning. It's really damaging the sport.
Yeah and I guess he and uncle bob will tell us Kambosos is a better fight...

Teo is basically saying Haney and Loma ain't worth a damn to fight, when they are (rightfully) number 3 and 4 at 135 on boxrec behind Davis number 2 who is fighting at 130.

He needs to leave 135 for 140/147 if he thinks the whole top 5 of the division is garbage.
This way he will fight fighters his own size.

He thinks that Ryan Garcia is trash too.

I never saw a fighter parading so much for beating a smaller, older fighter that he and his dudes have been calling somehow an overrated fraud .

Teo is a very talented fighter but he's starting to be annoying.
