He should get the shot. Two unbeaten contenders went at it and put up a great fight and the winner earned the shot. If my house was made of the material that Joyce's chin is made of, it could withstand 170 mile an hour winds! Both gave it their all in that fight and impressed me quite a bit to say the least.

Ruiz would be interesting. But I imagine he will take an easy touch for his first fight back.

Usyk got a shot by beating 2 boxers at HW. Joyce def deserves one in the next 2 fights. I'd say he needs to fight a top-10 fighter first really though.

Joyce is getting old, needs to have his hard fights now. His style is not suited for old-age

Hopefully in 2021 the forum is going to clean these articles up ,this is getting tedious, also less trolling and actual full disclosed statements not pasting them where they want it ,but I won’t hold my breath for that wish . Ha
That's true but he's not really top-10. The Ring HW rankings are the closest to a real ranking of boxers.
Those world bodies just put anyone in the ranking. If someone drinks a can of coke they got up a ranking.

Not really , unofficial rankings go by point systems which is even worse . This eliminates guys like Joyce who IS a top ten guy easily.

The best rankings doing point system is the transnational boxing . It’s not owned by a sole group or fighter and is voted legitimate on .

No rankings list is ever suited to ones preferred order so it actually is irrelevant.

I have Joyce at 6 just based on credibility knowing there’s only a few who can get past him . I would have him over a Wilder if they fought at any point now but I don’t rank him over Wilder so there’s where the pitfall is dealing with non official rankings .

The problem he has, as do many really - is that Joshua has four of the five belts. A lot of the time fringe fighters like Joyce get a shot right about now, I Mean Joshua did when he took on Martin originally. However there are others like Whyte (albeit needing to beat Povetkin) and Usyk who are well ahead of him in any que.

Joyce needs to just make sure he continues his momentum as he has a decent chance of getting one in 2022 - particularly since both fury and Joshua are British meaning a domestic dust up which would sell. Someone like a chisora would be perfect for him in my opinion for his next fight.

Usyk probably doesn’t deserve it however to be fair he was undisputed at cruiserweight so it’s not completely unreasonable that he’s ahead of pecking order of many - certainly of the likes of Joyce; it’s not impossible he goes and beats everyone at heavyweight (although that’s not my expectation).

I don't reckon so myself. Would rather Joyce focus on the other contender like Marciano did. He whooped the UK rival, time to whooped the rest of the world, like say that ***** Hrgovic.
