Comments Thread For: Manager: Joe Joyce Has Earned A World Title Shot; He's Ready For Anybody

Joe Joyce won three regional titles when he knocked out Daniel Dubois last month in London. Joyce's manager proclaimed that impressive victory evidence that the huge, hard-hitting contender is ready for a world heavyweight title shot. Champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have their sights set on an enormous showdown with each other in 2021, but Sam Jones feels Joyce established himself as a legitimate threat to elite heavyweights by beating Dubois.

The article seems to be a cut and paste job, WBO rankings were updated a while back.

I respect Joyce, he's a solid fighter. But I don't think he can beat Fury, Joshua or Wilder. Anyone else, he has a good chance against.

Inclined to agree, would look forward to seeing in him against Usyk if Josh is forced to vacate to fight Fury.

JJ's come on a lot in the last 7 years since facing Usyk, especially his jab. Where to be honest, Usyk's kind of stagnated. He's not nearly as elusive at HW as I thought he would be. Chisora shouldn't be landing like he did against a boxer/mover at World level.

All points to a far more intriguing settler than Josh/Fury vs Usyk. Can actually see JJ wearing him down, don't think Usyk has the length or power in his levers to jab JJ's head off and keep him at bay.

Sure why not, going to be a bit of a wait though, the title picture is going to be booked solid for the next year or so

Joyce is ranked 5 in the WBC and 2 in the WBO.

Hopefully in 2021 the forum is going to clean these articles up ,this is getting tedious, also less trolling and actual full disclosed statements not pasting them where they want it ,but I won’t hold my breath for that wish . Ha
