Whether you like him or not, you have to admit that he is fighting inferior competition. Callum Smith was no threat. Canelo beats the hell out of him and everyone is talking about P4P#1. How is he suppose to look against inferior competition? I like the guy and really think that he would and could defeat Charlo/Andrade. But at least they would pose some kind of threat. How can you be great fighting guys that pose no threat to you. I am starting to wonder if he thinks he can beat certain guys.

So if Canelo is fighting inferior opponents. What do you call Crawfords’ opponents?

Canelo's last two wins have come against bigger fighters but both on short notice. Kovalev and Smith, and Smith I believe was 4 weeks notice. When has a champion ever had to do that? It's all about the money. Smith knew if he wanted the fight he would have to take it now. Canelo has skills, no doubt about it. However, his rise in weight is a facade so far. He is getting better, but he isn't testing himself with the best in these divisions.

As far as P4P #1 it's arguable if he is 1 or not but who would you put 1 instead? Crawford hasn't done much in my opinion to earn that spot. Tremendous fighter but when was the last time we saw him in a fight we thought he could possibly lose or the other fighter had a chance? At the moment it's a toss up for P4P #1. Canelo has the better resume, he is being managed wonderfully.

John Ryder for all we know, would give Alvarez a good fight.

If you are using the term "for all we know".... then don't say Ryder would give Canelo a good fight because we know a lot. Ryder is at best at Smith's level...which is 2 levels below Canelo. And as to prove a point...you only need to look at at his undercard fight on the GGG card.

I means its worse than manny and floyd ******ed fans combined, at least those guys were dominant kicking ass and fighting the best...the truth it's hard for my boxing eye to respect as a elite outside of like 5 handpicked punching bag opponents canelo hasn't been dominant at that he has been barely winning vs the a/b level comp since trout, all close contested disputed bouts at that level, and that's not to mention the 18 clean rounds ggg won, roids test, him suing dazn, and gbp to avoid ggg and the a/b level and to continue to fights cans

I mean how much shyt can this guy get away with....floyd, manny, oscar, would never skate like this guy do, and those guys fought and actually had elite skillsets

If you land a clenela fight, it comes with a stipulation: you show up and make clenela look good or you'll only get %50 of what they offered. You mean to tell me a dude with a 6 inch height advantage, and what 8 inch reach advantage couldn't use the jab and pick the midget off all night?
