Something about Canelo that I don't get!!

Whether you like him or not, you have to admit that he is fighting inferior competition. Callum Smith was no threat. Canelo beats the hell out of him and everyone is talking about P4P#1. How is he suppose to look against inferior competition? I like the guy and really think that he would and could defeat Charlo/Andrade. But at least they would pose some kind of threat. How can you be great fighting guys that pose no threat to you. I am starting to wonder if he thinks he can beat certain guys.

I agree, he clearly only wanted to fight him after Ryder set the blueprint, Kovalev came off a war and only 9 weeks after the Yarde fight, but his wins over Golovkin and Jacobs were good wins, but you can make an argument that Rosado beat Jacobs just as good, but still he has 5 world class wins
    Trout
    Lara
    Cotto
    Golovkin
    Jacobs

Smith was the 168 Ring champion. Instead of criticizing Canelo for whooping his ass why not criticize Smith for giving up?

Why is Canelo getting more criticism for his masterclass performance than Smith is getting for not trying???

Con-nelo has mastered the art of fighting inferior competition that on paper seem good but really aren't. For example, fighting Cotto after he was coming off of a win over a weight drained Daniel Geale. Fighting GGG after Jacobs made him look ordinary. Fighting Kovalev after Yarde made him look terrible. Fighting Callum Smith after Ryder beat him.

Because in America, like in any free country, we criticize the powerful when they take advantage of the less powerful. This is Canelo's entire career, and it's evil. No drug testing, catch weights, giving guys only 1 month or 2 to prepare for the fight, picking the judges, picking the venue, picking the purse splits, and all that

No. In America we hate quitters. Callum Smith is a quitter. Stop taking up for him.

You won't hear me argue that. Callum Smith is a disgrace. So is Kovalev of any fighter who agrees to Canelo's ridiculous demands just for a payday.
