Originally posted by Inspired View Postlists are nonsense, ive seen the forbes list, they dont report accurately and wildere wasnt even on the lists.
aj earned the most in 2019, no athlete came close..
$15m a fight deal with matchroom (approx, gets paid in pounds)
$35m from dazn twice (on par with canelo)
the cut of sky sports ppv revenue.
$70m site fee from saudis
that's not even inc his endorsement deals.
one list had joshua only on $55m that yr, which is bizarre when he got more than that from the saudis alone.

Fair play to Canelo not wanting a multi fight deal. He should max out each fight. Highest bidder gets the fight or he just does it himself. Smart move.

I dont think charlo is big enough to be part of a 2 fight deal.
Floyd and Spence give canelo the numbers he wants financially.
God those crowds would be hot.

I’m not so sure $25 mil a fight is that good for Canelo actually. I suspect he got at least that for the dazn fight with smith in all honesty with a small crowd and a fight against GGG will be much more. Depending on what canelo wants I think he should take GGG next and then if crowds in uk are allowed then go to Wembley to take on BJS September time; would be huge money; 80k+ crowd, etc.
He can always go back to Haymon or Arum after those two fights

Fielding, Kovalev and Smith did excite me.

$75m from 2 yrs?
ok
so going backwards on this
Fury $20m
ortiz $10m at a push.
"Ortiz 2 fight purse, prize money. Wilder will make at least $3 million, while Ortiz's payout begins at $1.5 million, per Yahoo's Kevin Iole. But according to an ESPN report (via Forbes), Wilder will end up with closer to $20 million, and Ortiz $7 million.23 Nov 2019"
it did 225k buys..so no, he wasnt getting no $20m.
the reason why espn always always lie like this is their own little form of propaganda. eg they conveniently blagged that 'wilder is the most popular boxer in america' right when wilder-aj negotations with dazn were in the works. it was convenient.
brezeale $10m
it wasnt even a ppv fight. showtime were forced to pay 10m to counter dazn's $20m
it's similar to when a $5m offer for whyte from eddie, resulted in a $2m payout from showtime for the ortiz fight. basically showtime dont pay the same as what matchroom offer.
fury $5m max..
even if you say it's 10m..
that's $50m..maybe maybe $60m if we blag it a bit more...but $75m? no chance
doesnt matter who reported it
lol you're getting angry because im saying 'wilder wasnt paid the amount you think, but joshua was paid more than what's been reported'
reality is america is a dirty place with dirty weird media politics at play.
hence wilder later saying
"AM DA MOSEDISTEST SEARCHED BOXA ON GOOGLE"
(he isnt)
