The bs opponent was a mando fight. It's not a big fight.

It's a whole other game when we are talking about a big fight.

Not to mention GGG is pushing 40 & should just be fighting the biggest names he can vs these bs opponents he's been fighting. If Munguia is the biggest fight he can get fair play, but I think there are a lot of better fights to be made starting with a Canelo trilogy fight.

Came to the discussion thread on this to talk GGG and Munguia. Saw there was 10 pages of comments and figured somebody tossed Canelo or Charlo into the discourse, apparently both were brought up!

Munguia and GGG would be an entertaining fight but Jaime most likely gets his head popped back like a pez dispenser numerous from the Golovkin jab. He'd go out on his shield tho. Munguia looked better against Taureano Johnson but he's still not there yet and GGG isn't quite shot enough.

Didn't realize how high in the rankings Jaime is for the various belts but he's not ready for Andrade or Charlo. Maybe a fight against Sulecki, Falcao or Wojkicki would be a proper step then a shot at one of the title holders.

I like watching one fighter pummel another. Hope this fight happens.

I agree with the sentiment that we'd rather watch fighters fight tougher opponents and lose than tomato cans but this fight will not make Mungia any better. I believe it"ll actually shorten his career. To consistently take punches to the face from guys like the O'Sullivans of the world is one thing.....to take a sustained beating from one of the hardest punchers in the sport is a different ball game. He"ll end up like Brandon Rios in short order if cant improve his defense and its definitely not happening between now and the this proposed fight.

Canelo is at 168 and plans completing belts here. Forget him.

Andrade and Charlo are still there. GGG is old. Just like Pacquiao won`t fight all 147 tigers before he retires, GGG won`t fight all these new champs.

Golovkin doesnt rely on his one punch KO power, like smn said here, he doesnt knock ppl out cold, he relies on his work rate - timing and accuracy on placing those shots, what makes him break the opponents little by little

U mean't once GG stopped fighting cab drivers he became a lil more precise and boxed a lil more. He destroyed guys that nobody knew in his 1st 35 fights. A lot tougher once the comp got better.

Andrade is already the 160 WBO champ. If he petitions the WBO according to their rules he gets to be tge mandatory for Saunders. Thats his road to a Canelo fight. Andrade fight Saunders now. For GGG I say do a Charlo fight and unify. Mungia maybe can fight Eubank Jr or jump for a shot at Murata. Even a Liam Williams or Sergio Martinez who ranked high up on the comeback trail and knocking dudes out in his last 2 ehh maybe not Sergio but if he want it

I like GG but he showed fear against Canelo and refused to walk him down and win decisively. As for his comp,U would only recognize 5 men that were decent that he fought out of over 40 something fights. Im not hating I'm just stating.

Not hating? Again you're called legit World Champions and title challengers cornfield workers and nurses assistants, something I don't imagine you'd have the stones to do to any of their faces. I played college and semi-pro sports and wish I'd have risen to the level of all those "losers." They disrespect amongst all the keyboard warrior boxing fans is unreal.
