It’s not possible to do that and still remain ripped at the weight.
But he has the protection of the WBC disappears into Mexico and do what he wants with impunity and no one does anything about it.

Not like some of these guys that continue to promote their own deductions, speculations, and prejudices as factual information.
In other words, anyone who is not convinced that Canelo is a hardcore, perpetual, and bonafide steroid abuser, is not using their brain nor 'has a clue'.

u are the one who doesnt know what they were watching. trout fought like he usually does. not tentative at all. even in the round where he was knocked down he rallied back and arguably evened out the round according to the showtime commentators. and even lara was able to drop trout hard. so dropping trout doesnt mean much unless u believe lara is also a huge puncher.

cotto fought like he normally did in his last few fights. bouncing on his feet, throwing stiff jabs and combos. the fight was competitive and his face is easy to mark up. but by cotto's standards it didnt look that bad almost comparable to his face after the floyd fight.

canelos power is impossible to believe because he KO'ed a light heavyweight, is hurting big guys like callum, hurting heavyweights in sparring. u dont just go from not being able to knockdown an old mosley or cotto to KO'ing a light heavyweight and hurting heavyweights in sparring unless ur a big time roider like canelo is. thats just facts and common sense.

You're making apples to orange comparisons with different fighters at different stages in his career. Neither Trout nor Cotto were looking to press the action like they did vs Lara or Floyd precisely because he's a big puncher. Canelo didn't even force the issue in those fights yet still dished out punishment. He's improved since those fights and against Callum he was facing an opponent more willing to trade and dished out a lot of punishment (yet was unable to drop him). Against Kovalev he was looking to set him up all fight and managed to finish him off late with a masterful sequence.

There is an element that he has learned to fight off the front foot, I'll even say that he was probably taking something out of himself in those last 2-3 fights at 54.

But he is like a piece of iron now, and his punches look and sound so much heavier. It's not just the extra weight, it's the effect the punches are having on his opponents, it's the thud, it's the stamina. It's the inconsistency in his look when there is random testing / a full training camp.

It's like Pac all over again...and you know what? I was one of the pac defenders on here for a long time.

It's one thing to say boxing is a shady business but you're acting like Canelo is some random fighter suddenly dominating fighters out of nowhere when he was essentially a boxing prodigy who displayed elite qualities from early on and has continually evolved. His speed, chin and thudding power are tools he already possessed. His ability to close the distance, counter, and set up traps, etc are skills he's honed over the years. And now he's reached a stage where he's putting it all together.
