Artur is 35 now. He just postponed his current fight due to rib injury.

Canelo just said he wants to unify at 168 and why not ? He has 2 of the belts.

No chance to see Artur but there's a chance for Bivol.

People hoping for GGG 3 its never gonna happen. They are at different weight classes and have different promoters (Canelo a free agent). For a fight to occur Gennady would have to bend and he has too much of an ego to do that.

Hopefully GGG fights Andrade or a relevant MW but he seemed happy beating up randoms on Friday.

Oh well. At least Canelo is likely to target BJS and Plant and would make a pretty good stake for supremacy at SMW among Ward and Calzaghe imho. Cant see how Canelo couldve beaten either tbh but theyre fun hypothetical fights anyway

I’m just wondering if 5 weeks of training was a factor in Smith being zero effective in anything.
Smith and trainer already said they had 7 weeks to train. The fight was negotiated and announced at 5 weeks but Smith was already in the gym.

Canelo was negotiating with 3 different fighters simultaneously...you cant have an effective camp training for 3 styles.

But please keep telling me how only Smith had 5 weeks and Canelo had longer XD XD XD

May not be... Just doesn't seem to be talked about as much as it should be. Definitely a confidence killer as you said and I agree it's one of his best weapons now. Lots of chat about how "flat-footed" he seems but hasn't mattered yet with this in his arsenal

        • Damn, I though Callum was better than this. Nelo showed all of his flaws. Benevidez would be a fun fight!

          • Another overhyped domestic level British fighter goes down. Surprise surprise. Smith was just there to make Canelo look good. And to think some boxing fans gave him a chance. Meanwhile, Boo boo, Charlo, GGG are waiting.

Don't forget beterbiev is old af already. Canelo will definitely jump on that.

Raynoso already said they wanted that fight.
35 vs 30...*64 rounds vs 414 rounds... Who's body is the oldest in physical terms really ? ... I think the age thing is irrelevant here... If Ginger had really wanted to make a statement, he would have called out the bogey man of the Division right after his Kovalev fight, or even after Beterbiev unified... Yet you never heard Beterbiev coming out of Ginger's mouth.. As I said, he's not dumb...

He tried to land big shots in exchanges but Canelo punished him repeatedly for opening up. After that he tried to counter off the ropes but Canelo simply hammered Smith’s arms to negate that. To say Callum Smith took a dive is disrespectful to both fighters.
Yeah respect to Callum. He he put in a good effort when he could and even landed some great shots and combinations. Canelo was just more powerful and did more damage. Canelo's chin is just too strong. I don't even think anyone at light heavy weight can put a dent in it.

You tripping, Beterbiev is on the wrong side of 30 and he’s had a long career despite his few fights!

I think if Canelo unifies 168 and then moves up for Beterbiev, and if Beterbiev unified 175 an still winning then Artur likely will be 38-39
And Canelo will be 33-34, still within his prime!

Yeah kushking the Canelo Haters Club just have to lash out when Canelo makes 'em uncomfy by winning handily over and over vs top opposition. Reminds me of the bonehead sitting near me at a theater doing a PPV of the 2nd Canelo/GGG fight. Any time GGG made any headway, the goofball was screaming 'kick that pretty boy's azz'. And all the while GGG following Canelo 'round the ring instead of using some talent to cut OFF the ring. There's a disconnect somewhere in the Canelo hater's DNA. Where... we may never discover.
