Canelo vs GGG still does 750K-1M PPV buys.
Which is further proof how far boxing has fallen. Two premiere names in all of boxing only pulling those numbers? It’s a sad indictment on what was once a great sport.

Ali pulled 90 million in one fight. Shows how far boxing has fallen.

The problem is Americans never bought into dayzin so these two who were stars in HBO arnt stars anymore to the general American sports fan. This is the whole reason dayzin has gone to PPV now

Canelo stops him easily right now. I don’t know why people want to see it but if they want to make the fight, I’ll watch the massacre.

I would like to see them both lose this weekend. 3-G gets a L and then so does Canelo. Forget the fight facts the odds for some reason I would like to watch what that would do for boxing. It might help it out some. It sure would make some headlines. Hey I have watched both guys come up the ranks I know I know. But still that for some reason would feel about right in this ERA or error of boxing. If we can run with some of the stuff that is put out in boxing now, it is a more interesting thought then will they fight a third time.

Sometimes people forget in this saga Alvarez dropped his MW belt as opposed to fighting Trip G in May of 2016. It was a year and a half later in September of 2017 when they fought the first time which is the one most observers think Golovkin should have won.

I think it would be a HUGE upset if Golovkin wins anytime soon. But since Alvarez calls his own shots now and wants other challenges, it is a couple years away if it happens. By then it is a ****** decision to get wiped out just because you feel slighted in fights years ago. Golovkin needs to focus on other challenges. He can have a great back half of his career without the third fight.

You can stick a fork in this one, because it's done. Canelo is not and probably can't make 160 anymore and GGG doesn't want to go up in weight. So I think it's safe to say it's not happening. No one is really at fault they just have different career paths and plans, one thing I will say is that GGG has been fighting at 160 for over a decade, I don't understand why he never wanted to test himself at 168, and probably will never find out.

There's a few here and there who seem to want to watch that fight, but it also appears that boxing media goes outta their way to push a narrative that it's still a massively demanded fight and that's a feeling i don't get at all from what i read. More writers than fans want the fight, probably so they can poop allll over it if it were to be made

Dont see how this fight gets him there. Financially it will sell, probably a lot less then before but it will still smash every other ppv available
