It's funny how the division instantly becomes "weak" when Europeans are on top.

      By the way

Anyone in the top 10 now beats anyone from 2-10 in either of those years, Fury beats any version of either klitschko and AJ and Wilder are toss ups against either klitschko

      Deal with it

        Yes

I'm not even just picking on the klitschko era here, I could pick probably 40 year end rankings in history worse than the current top 10

But lennox Lewis era was the worst ever

        Then the klitschko was

Now the AJ Fury era is

We know the deal, but when iron Mike was knocking out crack heads and big George was one punching moorer aged 45 the division was on fire

        Of course

I think that Ali`s era is the best ever, everything else can be debatable.

Hrgovic, Parker, Whyte, Wilder, Rivas, Hunter, should be names? Really? Why exactly?

How are they bigger names than Chagaev, Maskaev, Valuev, Ibragimov..in previous era?

AJ and Fury are the only top guys and they are known for beating Klitschko.

Wilder is known for taking a free belt after Vitali retired.

Others are known for nothing. And Povetkin was clearly the better fighter in Klitschko era that he is now. But he is still top 10 clearly.

Helenius , Pulev, Arreola were relevant in 2011, but they are still around and high ranked. I don`t get your point. The only point is this era is not better than Klitschko`s?

It is not great, but it is extremely competitive.

The only reason why some people overrated today's fighters is because? They are super heavyweights, at-least that is what the scales say.

People overrate these out of condition super-heavyweights 90% of them are out of condition. Tyson Fury if he was solid, would be coming in at 250 pounds + etc

              It is my favourite division.

I'm sure there is whole bunch of other Eastern European amateur phenoms that most of us arent aware of.

The thing about this era is that if you have Brits dominating and then the odd crazy American floating about.

For us Western boxing fans it adds itself to a more interesting narrative. Brits are usually pretty brash apart from our guy JJ who refreshingly has the personality of a dependable wardrobe. Wilder is clearly insane.

All the top guys love to talk and their soundbites push the agenda along nicely.

Also, all these top guys are gonna get beat.

Past prime Povetkin still hanging in the top 5 today exactly where his prime self was 11 years ago.

Lol yes. HW boxing coincidentally "died" as soon as Americans stopped dominating it (allegedly because they finally realized the NFL and NBA existed some time in the late 90s).

The division is weak, accept for Fury. The good thing is most of the fighters are near the same level so the fights should be competitive.

When the 2nd best hwt, AJ, gets blasted by a fat slovenly no name, wilder is the 3rd best and he has power and nothing else, and Whyte, a top 4 hwt gets blasted by ancient povetkin, it’s hard to argue the division is great.

The fact that the division is laden with stiff European bums is in part why its weak.

I mean for god sakes pulev just got a title shot. If he is the mando for a title how can the division be good?
