lol ppl overrating today's HWs, Fury is the only legit HW in this weak era. GTFO comparing ATG Lewis to stiff robot Joshua, who fought like a coward in his redemption fight against an obese out of shape Ruiz. Joshua would've been a Frank Bruno/Michael Grant level in the 90s.

Then why would Lewis do that?
He won fights in every way possible. He'd outbox him, then he'd dog him, he'd walk through his punches, then he'd play with him before knocking him out.
Lewis in 6. Not even close.Comment

It's funny because it seems like every heavyweight era was weak except the 70's and 90's. At least according to most of what I see on NSB.lol ppl overrating today's HWs, Fury is the only legit HW in this weak era. As for Joshua in the Ruiz rematch, Ruiz failed to train properly for the biggest fight of his life yet everyone criticizes AJ for not standing and trading with Andy all night. Why should Joshua or any fighter have to help their opponent by giving them their ONLY chance to win?
Fat or not, Andy has faster hands in close, especially in exchanges. If you want to call AJ a coward for limiting said exchanges then why not call out Ruiz too for not being in good enough shape to impose his will on the fight?
That's like criticizing a 230 lb. running back for running around a 280 lb. defensive lineman to score a touchdown instead of trying to run him over.Last edited by whollisboxing; 12-16-2020, 10:57 AM.Comment
