I'm saying the top Middleweights are all on a close level and after Charlo's win over Derev he is up there also.Comment

Personally I want to see GGG retire. I think he has had a full career and has nothing more to prove. Yes he has a granite chin but all that damage will eventually get to him. Look at Ali. Nobody wants to see that happen to GGG. He has had a good career and in this day and age there is always going to be the what-if fights. Nobody is immune to that in today's boxing world and neither is GGG.Comment

His best decade is behind him. Hes past his prime. His trainer needs to stop snorting that garbageComment

I really like this pairing of GGG and Banks. It’s all gravy from here on out for GGG, years past his prime but still proving he’s an elite fighter. I think he was kinda ruined by Abel later in his career. Too in love with his power, too focused on the head. I remember hearing someone once say, how many champions has Abel Sanchez trained? He had Terry Norris, a good fighter...then was out of boxing. it was easy to see in the Brook fight that GGG became more of a sharpshooting power puncher and lost the rhythm he had earlier in his career. Let’s see if they can keep him in the winners bracket in The twilight of his career. To me, GGG is the best middleweight since Hopkins. a first ballot hall of famer.Comment

He's five months away from turning 39. Of course his best is behind him; there's no criticism in that. Every athlete's best is behind them at the age of 38.
I like GGG but he looked like a shadow of himself against Derevyanchenko. Still a warrior, but noticeably lacking the firepower to make Dervyanchenko back off. We don't know for sure if GGG was just under the weather or whether it was age catching up with him, or maybe a combination of the two. You'd have to figure age played at least some part of it.
Not sure I see the point in these kinds of fights for him, unless the nest egg still needs a little more.Comment

Another newbie ****** why does he not fight Callum Smith or Eubank Jane or BJS I doubt he will ko any of them let’s be frank he can only ko lower level world class fighters they are taking this fight only because he has a low percentage he has not improved under Banks. You only just found about this site this year 🤬Your a as dense as pig sheet casual... Please point out to me any fighter between 154-168 divisions that would've KO'd Canelo, Jacobs and Derevenchenko. They are elite fighters. When the best fight the best you usually get close tactical fights not one sided KO's. You're an absolute pleb!Comment

I like GGG, but like so many have said he's too old (especially when you consider his style). So many 'marinated' their chances to fight him in his prime, but he became easy pickings once he hit his late 30s. Now everyone is taking shots at him.
Keep in mind, dude was born the same week as Kelly Pavlik, and its not as if people are clamoring to see him fight still. Truth is, he was an unknown hi risk no reward opponent for his best years, and thus his resume reflects that.
That being written, in his first fight with the current P4P king, when G was 35 and his opponent 37, he earned a split draw. And the lone judge who voted against him was suspended because their card was so bad.Comment

he only fought jacobs because hbo and canelo made him...if they didnt force him he would have taken this type of fight before fighting canelo....
then he fought chenko because canelo, knowing he can make this guy jump whenver he says to, said "go get a belt"....so of course, instead of going after andrade(easy hes with hearn and DAZN) he goes for the guy he knows jacobs beat instead of the guy were not sure how good he really is....
lets not act like golovkin took on jacobs and chenko because he just wanted to....he did it because hbo told him he needed to do a fight against someone credible to build a canelo fight...he needed a name.....and canelo said "go get a belt before i consider facing you again"......i wont knock him for his performances in those fights...they were close...i wont say the other guys were robbed...close fights happen at the top....but he certainly wasnt the monster killer he was built up to be....Comment

I loved trip G. He was such a fun watch. He was speaking broken English (once even broken spanish) and owning his butchering of the words which is how "big drama show" became his thing. He fought 3-4 times a year and was always smiling or fighting.
His poor sportsmanship after Canelo 2 and the moths following soured me. It did. I was off that train. But if he fights real competition and handles defeat better (he will not go undefeated this late is his career with this much young talent out there) than he can truly win his legacy back.
This fight is a joke. I agree. Let us see what he does going forwardComment
