GGG wrecks the guy who fought Allen and Echols five damn times. Imagine the stick GGG would get fighting two guys five times? Hopkins fought in a very weak middleweight era but gets revered like he was Ali fighting heavys in the 70s.

Man GGG lands that jab against anyone. He has anyway.

Crude footwork? Man I don't think some people have any idea what they are watching lol

When Hopkins beat Pavlik, the latter had a 90% KO rate..

I can't wait for the inevitable 'Hopkins schools GGG' comments

Only to be followed by the Canelo comparisons - 'Well Hopkins schools GGG - but Canelo beats Hopkins easy'

It's like people are living in their own worlds. I can't believe that so many 'men' on here are so emotional, and not logical, with their analysis. Sad state of affairs. A lot of sensitivity and self-esteem issues going on.

And Hopkins had been fighting at 175. Pavlik at 160. They fought at 170. That would be like GGG fighting a top/the best LHW at a catchweight of 170. If the LHW wasn't drained, we would all expect the LHW to win.

Have you seen prime bhop foot work, he could cut off the ring and chop you down, or dance with his feints subtly movements gliding across the ring...

Absolutely he could move. I wouldn't call GGG's footwork crude though lol. He cuts off the ring very well. He shifts very well. He's never been down/he's always been in decent position to take/deliver a punch. Fair to say he isn't the quickest, as quick as Bhop etc, especially with the feet.

Hopkins was a smart fighter. Smart fighters are cautious against guys who can punch. Bhop was cautious against guys who punched less heavy than GGG, and who weren't as good as GGG.

I think if they faced off it would start out something like RJJ-Bhop. Both guys cautious early, trying to find range. It would then come down to whether GGG can establish the jab consistently and break Hopkins down/score points/win a decision.

If he can't find the jab, then Hopkins should outpoint him, using his quickness advantage, getting in and out. It would force GGG to show whether he can be competitive against someone like Bhop without the jab.

But I think Bhop would be very cautious for most of the fight. GGG would be cautious at least for the first few rounds.

Hops by UD. He loves having heavy feet fighters like GGG. He would get turning him and wouldn't allow him to get set to throw the hard shots. Plus, Hops has no issue making it ugly and tying up on the inside with an occasional hip shot lol.
