Was anybody actually impressed by that nonsense?

I’m glad AJ won but that fight was worthless with the exception of the title For negotiating leverage.
    Let's guess: you're a Fury fan.

Wallin is 30 and has won 21 of 23 fights, fighting nobody of note except Fury (professionally -- he lost twice to Joshua in the amateurs). Therefore he must be great because he almost beat Fury.

Pulev is 39 and has won 28 of 30 fights. His two losses were to Hall of Famer Klitschko and tonight's KO at the hands of AJ. He didn't have a brilliant amateur career, but a decent one. Has beaten the middle-tier likes of Derek Chisora and Hughie Fury. This doesn't make him brilliant, but they are better fighters than Wallin has beaten.

I don't see any reason to agree with your claim that Wallin would murder Pulev.

Pulev ain't all that, but in terms of boxing fundamentals he is superior to Wilder, the beating of whom Fury's recent acclaim is based on..

He missed most of those punches and only landed a few glancing blows. I think he was charged up emotionally and he really wanted to stop Pulev and that's why he got a bit reckless while trying to stop him.

Joshua looked pretty good in this fight but there are definitely some things he displayed that might concern his fans. Hopefully he can improve his inside fighting, in the future at some point. I'm not very confident in his stamina...The jury is still out on that.
He could had some ring rust but when he was rushing it looked like he could had gotten countered. They have to work on that.

Naw brother I’m Just a fight fan.

I was rooting for Pulev, I still haven’t forgotten how he got
Screwed By the asían chick, so
For real men everywhere I was rooting for Pulev.

He’s a senior that should’ve lost to Chisora, went life and death with Booker, Pulev is trash.

The Wallin that wrecked Kaufman murders the Pulev we saw today.

Joshua gets the victory as was the expected result but it appears it entertained most, also Fury seems to be breathing down his neck more and claiming that Joshua does not wish to fight him...

Hmmm only time will tell or however the negotiations go I guess depending on something major or even minor setback/block..

I'd hate to hear what you say about people you aren't rooting for.

As I say, he ain't all that -- not able to compete at the top tier but nevertheless he seems pretty tough to me. I think calling him trash is harsh.

Fight went as expected. This is the AJ we are most likely to see going forward. Will be interesting when he fights a guy taller than himself like Fury. Someone who will pump their own jab and apply constant pressure. Might be a difficult adjustment.

Nothing we didn't expect. Pulev the typical 2nd tier HW who stuck around long enough to get a 2nd title fight to lose badly in... again.

I will say though, even if this was a good outing for Joshua... if THIS shows up vs Fury... he'll be embarrassed. Fury would just be too technically proficient... even if he himself misses way more shots than he should. But it's THE fight to see next year. Hope we get it.

It is harsh you are right brother. He won a HW world title, no easy feat.

                    But he was no
Match for AJ and that was a terrible fight. Pulev collected a check and ran in the fight like a coward.

You never turn your back on a fighter mid fight? Especially as a tough guy.

I just call it how I see it brother. Pulev ain’t trash but his performance today was trash and worse.

I am firmly with the idea that Fury beats AJ and I'd prefer it as well, but Jesus I just saw the ESPN coverage with Andre Ward and the hate on AJ is real there. Especially when I compare it to what I've seen them say about Fury's fights.
