Comments Thread For: Freddie Roach: Joshua Has Better Boxing Skills, But Fury Will Knock Him Out

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is a big fan of the current heavyweight champions, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. The two fighters are going to potentially collide in a two-fight series in 2021. A few months back, they agreed in principle on the financial aspects of the deal.

Think fury has the better boxing skills but it's close and AJ has the better chance to knock him out imo

I think roach meant Joshua has better text book skills. Fury is a natural, fighting loose, relaxed and elusive even when putting pressure on. A more American style, if you want. More unorthodox, but does not mean joshua is the better technical fighter

Joshua has better boxing skills? One two and zero head movement? Funny how boxing insiders see things at times.I remember Ben Davidson saying Yarde had better skills than Kovalev, and some guy saying Bellew was more technical than Usyk and Tennyson beats Davis..

Does Freddie ever pick a decision win? Its definitely not very often that he does thats for sure. If Freddie picks a decision win that sh^t is a mortal lock to go down.

AJ has very low boxing skills. He has incredible athletic skills, which is different. He is a human 2.0 as to body and conditioning. A next step in human evolution.

But ...boxing skills??? Most top 50 from the 70s had much better skills than he does and for sure Fury is much better in that.

The only thing AJ can hope is to be able to run and jump away from Fury but that's much more difficult than with Ruiz.
