I agree he talks too much, but that only means someone like Berchelt, Valdez or Loma should try to shut him up. No one seems anxious to.

Its not funny like Floyd, its not rugged like Mike. I would never hang out with a person like that because I dont have the patience to tell someone "Dude just shut up you sound like blonde".

      Skilled? Yes. Annoying presence? Yes.
Of course he's annoying and talks too much and isn't the brightest bulb in the box, but no denying his skill. Wasn't it Bob who implored black fighters to be more "colorful" and market themselves better? Isn't Stevenson a Top Rank fighter?

When is this effing Stevenson guy ever going to fight a live dog?
He's been lining up bums after bums after bums...
Time to step up boy! Stop wasting fans' time!

To me this is a who will Arum let him fight situation more than who'll accept the call situation. I think Arum slow cooks guys like Shakur.

Look at a guy like Cotto. Thats Shakur's blueprint. He's gonna be super eased into more & more competitive fights & there won't be any 50/50 kinda fights. He's not gonna be thrown into the fire like Teofimo. Shakur makes TR more money being unbeaten as long as possible & with as many belts as possible. Bob & Todd are driving the Shakur War Wagon & its not pulling up in the big cities quite yet.

LOL if you think any of those 3 guys wouldn't fight Shakur. Granted it might not make sense pay-wise for them, but man to man none of those guys are worried about Shakur.

I suspect Arum is more worried about those guys vs Shakur than anything else. Shakur would fight any of those guys to to be clear.

But to Arum Shakur is an investment. And even Shakur ain't gonna fook up Arum's money by taking on too big of a risk too soon in his career. Thats why Shakur's best opponent to date is Joet Gonzalez. And to fully clarify what that means Joet's best W up to Shakur was either Rafael Rivera or Manuel Avila.

I honestly don't think Bob values Shakur like that. He most certainly would put him in with Berchelt, Valdez or Loma. For the record, Berchelt is going to dismantle Valdez. I would rather see Berchelt in with Stevenson, Tank or Chris Colbert.

He doesn't seem anxious for those fights either, he's talking about a washed up Frampton. He knows those bones are there to be picked. I simply want him to beat someone who really matters before all that barking. If he beats anyone of those guys then I have no problem with him talking all that trash. Valdez will be easiest Loma and Berchelt would be very interesting fights.

Thats not what Shakur's resume is saying to me. I think Bob was iffy on him for awhile earlier on, but now he's a title holding Olympic Silver Medalist who seems big enough to compete for titles in a couple more weight divisions before its all over. Thats a nice guy to have on your roster & if Bud leaves TR like some are guessing could happen in the near future + Loma already having lost that puts Shakur at higher importance long term for the company.

Agree with you on Berchelt vs Valdez. I think thats going to be a very bad night for Valdez. As Steve Kim says all the time square pegs don't die round. This coronavirus thing likely has given Valdez some extra time so maybe if he used it wisely it gives him more of a chance to prove us both wrong, but I don't think its very likely. I got it like 80/20 Berchelt & about 70/100 of that 80 is on Berchelt by KO.

As for the fights I'd like to see honestly its the same ole same ole for me. I just wanna see these top 3, top 5 guys fight each other waaaaay more often then they do. To some degree I don't even care which ones fight each other. Lets just get it moving a lil more.

And to me Shakur is right in that mix right now so he should be fighting any of these top 10 or top 10ish 130lb guys. Herring, Ito, Foster, Tevin vs JoJo II winner or loser if that rematch is happening & the Berchelt vs Valdez winner or loser. And my feeling is its unlikely he'll fight any of those guys in 2021. If he fights any of them it'll probably lean more towards a top 10ish guy who has holes big enough that the line is -500 Shakur best case.

True. I could see Valdez get fooked up by Berchelt & then pushed into a Shakur fight lol. I'd heavily favor a busted up Valdez taking back to back ass beatings if he were to get Shakur after Berchelt.

That might be the big fight Shakur finds himself in in 2021 if he has one at all. And it'll be less big if Valdez has just gotten stopped by Berchelt.

I agree with everything you said except the Loma part. I think Stevenson toys with Loma. Loma was always overrated. I was just waiting for the right fighter to come along to expose it. Lopez was that guy. I think Papchenko keeps his son far away from Stevenson.
