It's less that 1% and that rate continues to drop. It's not fixed.

        ??? What

The virus is actually quite dangerous. Its virulence is staggered across various demographics including age, health status, and risk factors.

It is true that medicine is MUCH BETTER at treating the virus today than they were in April, but many people still misunderstand social precautions.

There are only so many hospitals. If all hospitals reach maximum capacity the death rate will sky rocket because of poor access to resources. By using masks, quarantines, and social distancing people are helping slow spread of infection so people can be appropriately treated as theyre infected instead of medicine scrambling to treat everyone at once and people needlessly dying.

The death rate is far more than 1% for people above age 55. It is far more than 1% for people with pre-existing conditions like poorly controlled diabetes or COPD. It is far more than 1% in people with altered immune systems.

Youve got to unplug from Fox news, guy

Fox News is left wing bullshlt with a conservative mask. You sound like you're echoing CNN. If you watch any msm, you're being brainwashed. The amount of infections is significantly higher than they're reporting and number deaths is significantly less. Covid is nothing more than a tool for the media and our fearless leaders.

            Get well Donaire.

This sucks, he's one of my favorites and I always get hyped up to see him fight even at his age.

No point in arguing with people who are set in their beliefs. While evidence by anecdotal example isn't the most compelling, I know of incredibly fit people who did not possess pre-existing conditions and the virus wrecked them (and in some cases they didn't survive). On the flip, I know of people considered high risk and they soldiered on through covid. It's that variance that is alarming and scary.

Regarding the fights, it's a bummer that the fight fell victim to the pandemic. Hopefully they can cobble the card together and still give us 3 televised fights.

                      Summary of the article:
We won't have the real WBC champion until the end of 2021 or maybe early 2022. Considering Oubaali got Covid and now Donaire. We don't know how fast they get rid of their covid. And they would have to face Rodriguez/Gaballo winner

Which means: Inoue has ZERO excuse not to fight Casimero.
There's no WBC champion. The only available champion is Casimero.
