Angel didnt tell Top Rank anything. Thats just what Angel and Danny panhandle for anyone to listen. The truth is Angel was contacted directly and he listened but never replied.

Al Haymon is NOT a promoter. No PBC fighter needs Haymon to make ANY fight. Those fighters CHOOSE to use Haymon on a fight-by-fight basis.

If you remember in 2019 Danny was posturing for rematches with Porter and Thurman after close decision losses to both. His choices were:

Fighting and beating the #1/#2 PFP Terrence Crawford who was undefeated across 3 weight divisions and 1 of 2 lineal unified champs in the past 10 years...for a CAREER HIGH PAYDAY plus PPV split and main event recognition

Or

Fighting Adrian Granados on basic cable for $1m flat

Which choice earned him more $$?

Which choice earned him rematches with Porter or Thurman?

Which choice demonstrated strength?

Yeah, Danny/Angel took the other choice.

And if youre gonna say, well Angel said to call his Daddy Al. . .as if Danny ever wanted the fight.

Danny passed om career high payday

Danny passed on chance to be main event in PPV showdown

Danny passed on legitimate chance to earn a rematch with either Porter or Thurman

Danny stayed QUIET during all of this because...a duck is a duck

1. Right now? No. I don't think Spence is sharp enough for Canelo. Seeing what he did with Danny, I would suspect Canelo to pick him apart.

Both duBoef and Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti recounted to The Ring on Tuesday the details of an offer delivered to Angel Garcia for his son, Danny Garcia, to meet Crawford (34-0, 25 knockouts) in a welterweight title fight on that same date.

The offer, presented by Moretti during a phone call with Angel: $3 million guaranteed plus upside of the pay-per-view revenue. The plan was for Crawford-Garcia to headline Top Rank’s first PPV show on ESPN. Of course, Garcia is aligned with PBC, meaning he fights exclusively on Showtime/FOX.

My point was, since when is Crawford such a huge draw to be able to offer that kind of money to opponents? Mayweather was a huge draw but even he was only offering a few million to each opponent. The only time his opponents made what Crawford is offering etc is when they were already an established name with a legit following.

From what I have read, Angel never received a contract and asked for one instead of them sending something over DM.

If held in Dallas Cowboys stadium where Spence is know to draw they’d draw 4x that number of people. The venue in which Porter was held was at capacity. During Mikey Garcia fight more than 47,000 were in attendance to watch that fight. So how many more do I expect to attend? More than Spence vs. Mikey that’s for sure and yes venue is most certainly a valid reason.

True. You could argue though that they could charge more per seat now since it would be an exclusive event. Look at what the Warriors are doing or did with their new stadium. They built a new stadium with less seats so they can charge more for the "premium" and exclusivity of the game. No reason why they could not charge more for the seats and still make more than they would if it was full capacity.

2. Canelo is fighting at 168 in his next fight where the division has a lot more promising match ups. The only thing at 160 for his is Jermall. I highly doubt Canelo is going to want to make Spence move up 2 divisions and take all that flack from the fans. Spence is not ready to move up and Canelo is barely able to make 160 anymore. As lucrative as the fight can be I just do not see Spence doing anything for Canelo's resume.

crawford shows up at cards to get noticed....he knows the fights with the pbc guy arent gonna get made....spence doesnt need to show up to crawfords cards...because spence was getting love on the cowboys sideline on thanksgiving day games and other games on cbs....

i believe bud and spence will fight when both guys need it...right now spence has other options....eventually, if he remains unbeaten, spence will need bud too and it will be the perfect time....till then bud showing up to cards is just to piggyback and help build the fight down the line.....

I'd love to see Bud fight Porter. That would be a good fight and no walk in the park for Bud, but I distinctly remember Porter saying on several occasions that he and Bud are friends and talk on the phone about family, life, etc. Porter also said in an interview months ago that due to COVID, now is not a good time to stage that fight. COVID is still going on, so why the smoke now all of a sudden. Shawn is used as a diversion by PBC to get Crawford off Errol's arse. Same with Thurman. Keith's been playing his flute on a meadow and waiting for a second Manny bag that will never come, and now all of a sudden he has interest in fighting Crawford and/or Spence?

Al knows Bob's position a 147 and is working to wedge Bud away from him. Bob sued Al and called him a cancer to boxing, so he has no incentive to help him whatsoever. And he won't. I also don't believe that Spence truly wants to face Crawford unless he absolutely has to. This fight can't "simmer" any longer because both of these guys are in their 30s and their prime windows will soon close.
